Very little improvement in power, minor improvement in shift points, reduction in mpg.Re: Tappan Zee Bridge Closed Indefinitelyhttp://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/tappan-zee-bridge-lane-remains-closed-crane-collapse-article-1.2718834 Pretty much back to "normal." Still better than the GW, even with one lane closed in one direction.Re: Leveling checkThe fridge is supposed to be level, so I leveled using a bubble level in there. I then placed the bubble level on the wooden part of my center console, and of course it was not in the circle, but I circled where it was with a marker. Now, I just put the bubble level there and try to get the bubble in the marked spot. I have checked back in the fridge several times and it is always right on. This just makes it so I can level from the driver's seat - just getting older and lazier.Re: Littleton MA to Plattekill NYOK. I'm guessing you might be at Boston Minuteman Campground. If so take left out of the campground and when you come to the rotary, take the exit for Route 2. Take 2 west to 190. Follow 190 to 290 to the Pike west. You are now only one exit from 84 - no matter what you are driving, toll will be under $2.00, probably closer to $1.00. Trust me, you don't want to deal with alternatives. We live right off the 290/Mass Pike exit. If you are not at Minuteman, just find route 2 and go west to 190.Re: F53 BeepingI would have sworn an alarm I heard going off was under the dash, but it ended up being the CO low voltage warning, and on my coach the alarm is half way back to the bedroom.Re: Massachusetts to Virginia beachX3 for the Del Marva route. Our daughter lives on the Outer Banks, so we go frequently.Re: Good Sam vs Allstate Motor Club RV roadside assistanceCreeper, my "simply not true" was in response to a previous statement, which I quoted in my post. "My guess is that Allstate is aimed mostly at car problems, but I'd bet that very few have the equipment to raise a MH off the ground to change a tire. Both of them can bring you a can of gas". I have no quarrel/reservations with Coachnet and if/when I have a hiccup with Allstate I will be heading their way. By the way, the provider that towed us out of the hills of PA, disconnected my drive shaft to be sure no damage was done to my transmission and reconnected it when he reached the Ford dealership. Anyhow, safe travels and may we not have to call our service providers.Re: Good Sam vs Allstate Motor Club RV roadside assistance Jim Shoe wrote: My guess is that Allstate is aimed mostly at car problems, but I'd bet that very few have the equipment to raise a MH off the ground to change a tire. Both of them can bring you a can of gas. Simply not true. Allstate RV Roadhelp has a solid provider list. We have used their service for towing twice and in both instances they sent a heavy duty wrecker. One tow was on an interstate about five miles from a major city, the other was on a very rural route leading to a rather secluded campground. Call to arrival was reasonable in both instances. We have never encountered any problems with communicating with the dispatch service. They have always inquired if we were in a safe location before gathering other information. You do not have to Allstate insurance to become a member. We should remember - depending on where our problem arises - there may be a limited number of service providers, and very likely, most or all providers have the same ones to use. And, yes, I suspect there could be a case where no provider is available. If that happens and we CAN locate help, they will reimburse. Is Allstate better than Coachnet? I suspect not. Is Coachnet better than Allstate. Same answer. We should go with feels right AND, if it ever starts to not feel right - time to change.Re: Good Sam vs Allstate Motor Club RV roadside assistancehttps://www.allstatemotorclub.com/amcc/handbook/amcguide_rvroadhelp_US.pdfRe: VT Killington area Winter / Spring campingBottom line - no. There are actually no campgrounds near Killington at all, except Gifford State Park, and all VT State Parks have no hookups. The State considers the parks open in the winter, but the gates and bathrooms are closed and roads are not maintained, so essentially, tenters could walk to a site, but that is it.
