No, they have/had a special going, $50 for 2 years, but you get a $25 CW gift cert. back. End cost ( assuming you use the cert. ) $25. I know, because I received the same.Price match? Why wouldnt CW offer price matching? I would love to spend my money with CW. I am wanting to purchase the King Jack antenna ( OA8200 ). CW offers it at $129.97. But I can buy it at AdventureRv.net for $97.03 + $10 shipping. Amazon sells it for $106.79 with free prime shipping. Walmart for $106.79 w/ Free shipping. If it was just a 1-2 dollars difference, I'd be ok with that, but $23? Keep your prices higher so the unsuspecting will make you a larger profit, but offer the price match so you can sell to those who shop around and earn their few dollars as well.Re: GeneratorsWhat about a Harbor Freight inverter gen? $500 not on sale and has good reviews. http://www.harborfreight.com/2000-peak1600-running-watts-28-hp-797cc-portable-inverter-generator-carb-62523.htmlRe: How many don't pull a TOAD behind their coach? I think towing would be nicer, but we have not taken the plunge for a few reasons...Spouse prefers driving cause car to towing...Current car drives great but would not tow well...We bought a "starter" motorhome to try out fulltiming and may trade up...Most of our driving days are fairly short and well spaced. So if I am among those toad-less coaches you see on the road, there will be a car following me. This will be us as well. Being our 1st year with a Class A, wife will chase in our little Mirage. It gets 50+ mpg in the summer months, so it won't cost us much to do so. Once we decide to tow, we'll just add a tow dolly. We do need the car, we like to sight see where ever we go, and I don't think I want to try and find a place to park in a 34' MH.Re: Transferring gas 4x4van wrote: Simply purchase an inexpensive inline fuel pump at your local auto parts store. Run a line into the full tank, hooked up to input side of the pump, another line into your "target" tank, hooked up to the output side of the pump, and then apply 12v to the pump (a battery, a jump start pack, etc.). We found the motorhome in my sig for $2950 ( includes generator ). We have spent $1200 for 6 new tires and $200 for a new updated converter/charger. It's now ready for our needs: On the other hand, I have watched some really cool " Tiny Homes " built on TV. Maybe use the chassis and build yourself something nice.Re: Information on a 2012 Cougar 30 RLSWe owned a 2012 Cougar 27RLS. Absolutely LOVED that trailer! Loved the curved roof/ceiling. Loved the spacious walk through bathroom. Cherry wood finish through out was well done. We opted for a dinning table and chairs, instead of a booth. Loved the propane tank cover, which made it look built in. Never had a problem of any kind with ours, and if my wife wasn't forced into retirement so soon, we would have kept it.Re: 89,000 miles on a Ford C6 trans Lessmore wrote: I'm surprised ...a bit...that you have a C6...don't think that transmission has been made for many a moon. Not criticizing, they're very good, robust trannies. Had one in a mid '70's E 350 cab and chassis, DRW, with a 16 foot box and the 460 V8. Very tough, durable transmission. Its a 1987 MH. 29 years old.Re: 89,000 miles on a Ford C6 trans Grit dog wrote: OP obviously doesn't have much history with the vehicle so can only go off the current appearance and operation of it. I'd be suspect why a big block needed rebuilt at 80kmi if it was driven and maintained properly. And that suspicion would extend to the 25 year old trans as well. I'm thinking the original owner got hosed by a dishonest service repair owner ( original MH owner was on the road ). They charged him $8000 for the job, which included a $4000 reman motor from a reputable company. And this was done back in May of 2001. $8000 for work like this 15 years ago! And yes, not many miles since. The guys wife got sick and couldn't travel, so they only drove it fairly close to some property they owned ever since.89,000 miles on a Ford C6 transI have a class A that has a C6 auto trans. Mileage is 89,000. Fluid looks ok. Shifts fine, no problems that I could tell. I know this is a " Crystal Ball " type question, but would you trust this trans to make a trip from northern Michigan to southern Arizona ( round trip )? Our trip plans are doing Route 66 as much as we can. Speeds will be kept at 55-60mph ( we're in no hurry ). It would cost about $2000-$2200 for a rebuilt, but our budget just couldnt afford that AND the trip. It has a medium size trans cooler now. I was thinking of upgrading to a larger cooler. I haven't weighed the motor home yet, but assuming it is in the 13,000-16,000lb range by what I got from the original manuals. Motor has no worries, it only has 6,000 miles since rebuild. Moderators: I posted here so I could get info from some P.U. truck guys ( instead of posting it in the class A section ).
