Went in about 1/4" and the bit caught and turned the deadbolt. Pulled it out, door opened. MUCH easier than I thought it would be. The thieves did get in to my fifth wheel to steal the TV. They used a dealer master key and broke it off locking it back up. Funny thing, though. They stepped over 2 $1500 bikes, 2 30# propane tanks and other electronics to steal a $250 TV. Nobody said thieves were smart. Thanks everyone for your suggestions, -Steve & TerriRe: How to remove broken door latchThank you agesilaus. I didn't think about watching a regular deadbolt video. I'm assuming a camper deadbolt won't be quite as strong? How to remove broken door latchThis topic has been moved to another forum. You can read it here: 28753237How to remove broken door latchWe had someone try to break into our 5th wheel and they ruined the deadbolt keyhole. We cannot unlock the deadbolt. Any suggestions on how to go about removing the entire latch? It has 2 keyholes, one for the deadbolt and one for the latch pull itself. Once removed, we plan to replace it with a combination style latch. I've tried to search the forum, but didn't find much on the subject. Thank you in advance for your help!Re: Canopies?Make sure the one you get has legs that go straight up instead of going up at an angle. First, they measure the size by the base which means the top will be smaller. We have a 10x10 but the top is 8.5x8.5. Also, if you get one with straight legs, you can put two together much easier.Re: Netflicks?I've been a customer of Netflix for 13 years. Started with the 3DVD plan and moved to the 2DVD plan when streaming came of age. Last year we moved back to the 3 plan so we could take more movies with us. I also buy movies with the digital copy option so I can hook up our laptop to the TV and watch our favorites. Time flies by when camping without network or satellite/cable stuff. But if you're full time, I'd look for a place with good wifi and stream what you want.Re: Blow out winterizing questionThanks everyone. I already have the ptraps handled, but I like the idea of running anti freeze anyway. Another guy on YouTube said that leaving the lines dry all winter could also dry out seals in the system, which made sense to me.Blow out winterizing questionI have blown out all of the lines 3 times now, I just keep thinking a little water will pool somewhere and freeze - call me paranoid. Question; when you blow out, does that take care of the fresh water pump? If not, should I run just enough anti freeze to protect it? 1st winterize, so just checking... Thank you!Re: Apple IPhone or android? SWD wrote: ANDROID but of course They rule! Had an i and hated it...too propriety based. Android much more open. Luuuuuuuv it! Do you hear me? ...which also makes it much more susceptible to viruses and malware. iPhone has had one or two issues, but Androids have many many more security issues.Re: Why are 90%+ TT's or 5th's white?
