Maybe they are holding up the price on it to use it for test drives or maybe no one wants it. I am not sure but if they all move this slow now when they are new, it doesn't bode well for the future. I popped into the local Nissan dealer to have a look at the XD. They had two on the lot, similarly equipped with 2WD, leather, and a few other goodies. I almost fell over when I saw the price...$69,000 and change. No typo. Yes, it had a $15,000 "market adjustment" added to the bottom line which will most likely be eliminated up front, but c'mon....Re: M/T and three Ram EDI will most likely buy another Tundra...that way everybody can make fun of me.... Carry on....Re: From Tundra to which 3/4 tonPlaying devils advocate here....How much overweight are we talking with the current combination? If you haven't weighed the trailer with all the items in the box, people, etc for worst case scenario, you may not be extremely overloaded. If it were me and it was 3-400 lbs and I towed the combination 10 times a year, I would keep the Tundra. My trailer is similiar in size/weight, and I have had the pickup box filled with wood, generator, etc, and towed up 13 mile long hills gaining 6,000 ft in elevation multiple times in 105 degree heat with no issues. Just a thought....Re: New brakes for '11 F350 PSD? Ron3rd wrote: The Hawk pads I have on my Tundra are the absolute worst I've ever owned in terms of mega brake dust. Don't recall the model, but it's the one they recommend for towing. I'm going to take them off and go with OEM. That stinks as I was going to try them with a slotted rotor. I hate the stock rotors on the front as they warp badly and way too soon. I am open to any suggestions.Re: 6.4L Hemi empty hwy mpg - UPDATED w/VIDEO ib516 wrote: travelnutz wrote: Something doesn't make sense on this thread. Just got my July 2014 Trailer Life magazine and they have a real world test of the 2014 Ram 2500 6.4 Hemi Outdoorsman truck with the 3.73 ratio driven both solo and with a 7,000 lb total weight XLR Hyper Lite 27' trailer behind. In black and white for all to read! Truck solo (unloaded) MPG was 11.5 and towing was 8.2. About the same numbers within tenths as the other two tests I've read the results of as printed. Not home right now so I can't get the publications to give the exact numbers printed. It's an awful long stretch or wild exaggeration etc going from 11.5 mpg in actual tests to a claimed of 16 or 18 mpg's I've read in this thread! Matbe the test were only up hill against a stiff wind and the forum poster's claims were only downhill with a healthy tailwind, ya think? 11.5 empty is horrible and 8.2 pulling 7,000 lbs is certainly no prize winner at all. Is there any wonder why some of the posters stories are dismissed as total BS since everyone isn't dumb enough to believe in the Tinkerbell Fairy? I didn't know there was a mpg prize :B Please enlighten us! :) How about a video there smart guy? Or do you think I altered it with some fancy editing? :) You can see the mpg I got if you're able to do the metric conversion, and I have the 4.10 axle. It works out to 10.7 US mpg in case math isn't your strong suit. VIDEO Don't you think it a bit unusual for a truck to get 10.7 mpg when pulling a 37' 5er, but only 11.5 mpg when running empty? In later tests where I had some wind and hills to deal with, I got just over 8 mpg pulling (not on the video). I'm perfectly happy with that. I don't know where/how TL got their empty mpg figures since I haven't read the article, but mine is getting better than 11.5 empty, even with a mix of city & hwy on every tank. I am averaging 13 mpg in mixed driving, and 15 - 16 mpg open highway when at 70 mph with some wind. In ideal conditions (no wind and 60 mph), it will get 18 - 19 mpg on the open highway, I know, I've done it. I'm not posting this in hopes that it will change your mind that everything RAM/Chrysler is the worst POS built, because I know that isn't going to happen. Your hatred for RAM is well known and you reaffirm that with every post. Likely because GM is losing market share every month to RAM. Too bad I no longer subscribe to TL, because I'd like to read the article. No worries there....he hates all things UN-Chevy. My Tundra "wet noodle" frame still has not snapped in half...but I vow to post pics when it does.Re: GM financial woes have begun fla-gypsy wrote: The ignition switch cover up comes home roost http://abcnews.go.com/Business/wireStory/gm-1q-profit-dragged-recalls-23451200 In before the lock!! They contacted Michelin and I will be getting 75% credit on these tires, not too bad for 29,000 miles and three years old. Bingo!!! I wonder if the other dealer you dealt with is an authorized Michelin dealer? My BF Goodrich tires were warranted based on treadwear but I never bought them from the dealer when I brought them in cracked as such, but still got the coverage. Either way...good thing it worked out. I now drive about 20K miles a year, so we'll see if they crack in 3 years, and at that point they will have 60K plus miles....Re: Michelin LTX M/S catfishmontana wrote: Keep in mind, that if Michelin will pro rate you for new tires, they also own BFGoodrich. When my Michelins cracked after a couple months, they gave me the option of BFGoodrich tires as well. FWIW, I didn't go with either brand. It just so happens the OEM tires on my Tundra were BF Goodrich and they were cracked at 35K miles. I brought them to a dealer and got some dollars for that warranty as well. Same with the Michelins. I am surprised that the OP dealer won't budge. MFG warranty is just that...MFG warranty...treadware or otherwise.Re: Michelin LTX M/SYou should be able to get Michelin to cover the tires at minimum prorated. I had a set of LTX AT/2 load range E tires on my truck that were 3 years old and looked similiar. I took them in and got about 60% of the cost of a new tire back. They have a 6 year treadwear warranty, and based on your mileage, the MS version should have alot of tread left. By the time I priced it all out, it was worth it to me to stick another set on and see what happens.Re: US files charge against Toyota, $1.2B penaltyIf my Tundra ever exhibits unintended acceleration I am going to hang on for dear life and steer it straight to the dealer, get it stopped somehow, and buy another...
