I know it is supposed to keep the critters from moving in during the night. On the other hand there are a lot of rigs without the night lights. So my question is do the lights really work? One guy has two very bright halogen work lights that light up half the park, one under the trailer the other under his truck IMO that's a bit excessive. I do not have lights under the rig and have not had any issues with critters.Re: Brakes and BearingI use extream duty greese.Re: Suburban Water Heater ProblemWhen my suburban quit wirking on the electrical side it was because one of the wires connected to switch at the water heater burned off. Reason because the spade connection wasn't crimped tight enough. I had to replace the switch and wire.Re: cleaning out waste tank bpounds wrote: I don't worry about 'cleaning' the waste tanks. All I concern myself with is not letting them dry out. Use plenty of water with every flush. I don't want to have clumps that might cause clogs. Don't care how clean it is because I will never be in there, and don't care about the sensors either. Have never filled a black tank. It is always far lower than either of the others. Who needs sensors? This method works great for me as well.Re: B & W Hitch Cummins12V98 wrote: For those that don't have a B&W do your pull test! I used to with the RBW I had. When you actually use a B&W and look at the simplicity of the latching system and the thick wrap around jaws you will understand the only test you need to do is with your EYES. Yes that is a TEST. Back under get out and close the latching arm and LOCK it. Now LOOK to see if the hitch and kingpin plates are touching. Now LOOK to see if the 1" thick bright silver jaws are wrapped around the kingpin. That is the ONLY test needed with a B&W. Ok flame on B&W critics! Thats exactly the way I do it. No poblems with over ten years towing. The B&W is the only hitch I've had or will have.Re: brakes acting funnyMy brakes would grab when moving slow like through a park or stop and go traffic. Took it to Les Schwab had the bearings repacked and brakes adjusted problem solved. Mechanic said only one shoe out of eight making contact. Only took a couple of hours.Tucson AZ to Rapid City SDLooking for suggestions on a route from Tucson to Rapid City SD. Will have stops in Winslow, AZ, Cortez & Fruita CO. After that I'm open to all suggestions. I am towing a 37 foot fifth wheel. Travel time early to mid April.Re: Made itThere were two gates both 12'3"Re: Made itOkay after two weeks in Puerto Penasca (aka) Rocky Point Mexico we made it to our winter space at Desert Trails RV park 8 miles west of Tucson. If you like the beach Playa Bonita is the place for you. The beach is clean, the park is clean with clean restrooms and showers, laundry room, wifi service was good and no 50 amp plug in but my 30 amp wire was on a 50 amp breaker with no issues even with the ac running. The best part for me was getting our 38 foot fifth wheel washed and waxed and my truck washed for 76 bucks and they did a good job. Other people liked the fact that every morning a vendor would drive through the park selling shrimp and fish while another walked the board walk selling breakfast burritos. there was a young lady that provided manicures and pedicures too, all reasonably priced. Then of course the trinket vender's all day everyday. Coming back into the states was as easy as going into Mexico with one minor problem. The gate has one of those clearance bars painted yellow hanging from chains warning 12' 3" clearance now my forward ac unit has yellow paint on it from the bar dragging across it. If it wasn't there at all everything would be fine. I put a link to some pictures in my original post I think you have to copy it to your search bar and hit enter.
