Can the charger be used in conjunction with an inverter (2000 watts) to run the refrigerator on electric while on the road? Thanks, Jeff DRe: Slide out to non slideWe have an AF 865 short bed. We came from a Lance 855s with the full cabinetry in the cab over. Why Lance stopped that, I’ll never understand. Went with the AF for better insulation and larger tanks. Miss the slide, nah. The slide does give you more floor space. The 865 has been good for us. Jeff DRe: Solar Panel MountsOn my 2020 AF 865 I used the AM Solar L foot rocker foot mounts. I have 2 Zamp 170 watt panels at the rear and 1 70 watt panel in front of the refrigerator vent. The mounts make it easy to remove panels if needed. Their mounts have VHB tape on them. I used the tape along with #8 screws with Dicor all over the base of the mount after they were attached. Take a magnet and run it over the area where you want to place the panel mounts. Northwood places sheet metal in certain places for roof mounted items. I got a roof schematic from Northwood and it showed where all the sheet metal was. 9000 miles later the panels are still in place. Jeff DRanger Lakes CG ColoradoHi all, Anybody been there? How is the campground? More importantly, how is the fishing? Looking at a mid to late September visit. Thanks, Jeff DMonument ValleyHi all, Campgrounds I saw, KOA and Goulding’s. Any recommendations on either one? Looking to go end of September for one or two nights. How is the weather that time of year? Any other recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks, JeffBathroom dispensersWhat do you all use for shampoo and other items? How do you store the dispensers? I would prefer to leave the dispensers out and not have to pack up after each stop. Thanks, Jeff DRam 3500 truck bedHi all, 2021 short bed dually. The far left and right of the bed near the wheel wells has no ribs where the camper would rest. The ribs extend to the front of the bed. I need to fill in the two sides to give me a level area for the camper to rest on. Previous F350 had ribs next to the wheel wells. How have any of you delt with this? I am thinking of thin strips (3/8”) of hard maple, plastic or very hard rubber to fill in the void. Maybe even have the spray in bed liner recoated on the floor after strip install. How does one post pictures here? Thanks Jeff DArctic Fox 865 Short BedHi all, Thinking of upgrading the truck to a Dodge dually short bed. Does anyone here carry an 865 on a short bed Dodge? Dually or not. How does the camper ride on the shorter bed? How is the fit? I saw the post with the AF 811 on a Dodge short bed. Pictures would be nice. Thanks Jeff DRear View CameraHi all, Anybody use one? If so, Is it beneficial? Main reason to have one is to keep an eye on vehicles. Using it for backing up would come in handy. Thanks, Jeff DFood: Storage and stovetop ovenHi all, We have been looking at collapsible containers. Looking for ones that are microwave safe. What are your experiences with this type of container? Anybody using a stovetop oven using the gas burner? Thanks, Jeff Drennan
