This is the narrow storage against the cab of the truck. I'm delivering the truck later this month for fit, wiring, plumbing and then paint. Is that a Douglass camper body?Re: Host Cascade 10'6" Double Slide NEW PLAN?I really like the new layout. If you click on the image to get a better look, it still takes you to the old floor plan. :( I look forward to see what they have in store for the MammothRe: Ordered Host Mammoth Bedlam wrote: I'm close to you if you want to see anything up close before another RV show. Thanks Bedlam!! Bedlam wrote: S Davis wrote: Do you guys know if Host offers factory tours, and have units to check out. I am considering getting a Rainier SB but can't find one to look at. They ship units off as soon as they are built. Get in touch with Host when their next build of a Rainier is scheduled. I think right now the Mammoth the filling most of their production cue. Seeing the construction methods at the factory are worthwhile even if you are looking at different model being built. If I didn't like what I saw at the factory, I would not have bought my Host. In talking with Randall, it sounds like they have their production scheduled out pretty well so they can probably tell you almost down to the day when a Rainier will be in the build state you want to see it.Re: Ordered Host MammothI've been looking at TC's for about a year and a half and after the Seattle RV show settled on a Host but am still about 18 mo out from actually placing an order. After reading through this thread, it's going to be a long 18 mo. Thanks for all the great write-ups and info you guys have shared.Re: Ordered Host Mammoth zb39 wrote: A couple weeks ago I phoned in an order. (After a few weeks go negotiating) My wife and I have been in a few of them. This will be out 3rd TC and our 8th RV. 4 MH 24, 34, 40 and 45 ft. 2 other TC and a 5th wheel. We always have a MH and a TC at the same time. Now it is a 5th wheel and TC. They get used for diff things. Didn't get a lot of options. I feel I can do a better job with the batts, inverter, and the TV's. Ordered, double couch, leather or what passes for leather on both. 3 slides are now standard, no choice, thats what I was told. micro/convection sealed burner top upgraded escape hatch 9k btu AC gas electric hot water swing out brackets, they should be standard. power awning. It is prob diff from what most people would order but we have ben camping traveling for a long time. I will add 4 or 6 6v batts and a 3k inverter. I also have a pair of honda 2 k gen. I will only carry 1. I don;t think they have started the build. I was told it would be in around the end of Jan. Looking forward to it. I have a newby question. I'm looking to get into a TC and I keep seeing that everyone is using 6V batteries. Why do they use 6V batteries in a camper instead of 12V batteries?
