We raised the deductable which helped a lot.5th wheel insurenceI know this topic has mentioned before but I would like to get some of your opinions. Our 5th wheel is now 8 years old and we just got our yearly ins bill. This year it jumpe $85 more. We called our co but the person who handles it is off today. Just a thought should't it decrease with age. Personally I think what we pay is way to high $785 for 2016. Yes we do still owe on the 5th. Any helpful answers would be appreciated. Thank you and Happy holidays to you all.Re: Declining interest in RVing?Great to get these answers right now as we to are going through a phase, should we sell, or wait. Reading all your answers and all the pro and cons, we've decided to wait on selling.Re: insurance increaseHere is our results on our camper ins. Talked to our agent and she went over all our policies. The camper ins she could do nothing about as state farm increased it, the good news was that she was able to reduce all our other ins , as we don't do as much driving anymore on a daily basis . We were driving 2 hours every day to work . So happy new year to all of you.Re: insurance increaseThank youall for your input, the local agency is closd this friday so we will wait until monday & let you all know the result. If it wasn, t for this forum we would have had to spend hundreds of dollars to fix ourslides if not more. Thanks to a forum member waterbug and his advice we took our slide out hose to a hydraulic hose shop in town. They removed the bad end and installed a new fitting all for 11.25 cents. The labor charge was 2.50 cents, can you believe that! When we removed the hase we tied a string to it, so reinstalling the hose all we had to do was pull it through with the string, with the hose in place, but not connected, we used a plastic automotive syringe to fill the hase with fluid, attached both connectors and cycled the slides in and out. This was done on a 36 ft fifth wheel. Happy birthday today to my handy husband and again thank you waterbug and this siteRe: what a morningJust read what waterbug said and my husband says that would work since the hole is at the end. Will take it down to the shop and have the hose cut and the fitting put on . Thank you for the tip, this sure will save us a bunch of money. We are lucky that hose seems to be extra long. The hose was wound all through the framing to take up all the extra slack. Will let you know how it works out. Thanks again
