I may go with a lithium battery if I can swing it.I did a little research and found out my converter will recognize lithium. I'm not sure if the cheap lithium batteries you can find on the web are any good New to 12v fridge I'm looking for some real world experience and advise. I just purchased a 2023 Jayco 25rb and it has a 12v fridge and no solar onboard. The battery they gave me was a 63 amp hour flooded battery. We do a fair amount of boondocking at NYS parks where there is a lot of tree cover so I'm not sure solar is my answer.I do have a generator to recharge the battery(ies) with. I'm thinking 2 100 amp hour flooded batteries should be enough to get me by when not plugged in somewhere. Lithium is probably the best battery solution but is too spendy for me at this time. How much battery does a 12v fridge use and will 100 amps be enough? Re: Truck bed cargo Fire wood, tote with RV rug/runner,cornhole boards,Weber 2000 grill and stand,10x20 canopy(if staying for a number of days or weather is expected),generator(if no hookups),sometimes black water tote, tools if not going local. Re: Black Ants in outdoor kitchenx2 on the Terro. I had an infestation this summer at my house and used the liquid bait stations. It does take a little time for them to find it and get enough back to the nest to kill it but it works.Re: Newbie to Camping TrailersSounds like you are off to a good start then. Safe travels and enjoyRe: Newbie to Camping TrailersWelcome to the forum. I had one that size a couple of years ago. It towed very well with a E-2 weight distribution set up. The thing with shorter trailers is that they turn fairly fast when backing them. The secret is to get it to start to turn and then follow it around, don't keep your wheels turned sharp. Practice will help you with that. Have fun and enjoy the new trailer!Re: R VisionGood luck! We owned a R Vision hybid camper for many years in the early 2000s.Re: 2022 F-150 Can Not install aftermarket brake controller!!!!!Thank you all for your insight and input.I have had the OEM controller installed by the dealer. After using my Ford points that you get for buying/leasing a vehicle it cost a little over $200. I lease the truck so I did not want to go splicing into the wiring. Also everything in this truck is computer controlled and I certainly don't want to screw anything up. I have in the past wired the entire brake and charging systems for my towing set up in my vehicles but these new ones are out of my league. Once again thank you all.Re: 2022 F-150 Can Not install aftermarket brake controller!!!!!Mike134 I really didn't realize there were options like that. The price of that is not much less than the factory one. My original intention was to spend $20 or so to buy a pigtail and hookup my P3. Not being able to do that was not expected. My truck is a lease so I'd rather the dealership go poking around and taking things apart.Re: 2022 F-150 Can Not install aftermarket brake controller!!!!!Bobsallyh you are probably right. I am getting "subscription notices" all the time. Whatever happened to just putting gas in it,changing the oil and treating it to a good hand wax every now and then? Man this truck is needy:R
