It's amazing that a truck with 90,000 miles on it still has an asking price of 28,000!Re: Help deciding on new tow vehicleI'm thinking were going to go the way of the truck. I don't know that we'll have dogs once these are gone so I don't want to plan long term based on that.Re: Help deciding on new tow vehicleUntil we were able to adopt our son, or dogs were our kids and they go everywhere with us :) 1/2 ton f150 has been OK locally, we haven't ventured too far with it yet. I think the stronger suspension might be better in the long runRe: Help deciding on new tow vehicleThe only reason I thought about a suv is the 3rd row seating. Well have a car seat and 2 70 lb dogs, not not sure everyone will fit in the rear of a crew cab. I never thought about a cap for the truck. Most of the newer suvs seem to top out around 8000lbs which seems to be cutting it closeHelp deciding on new tow vehicleThe wife and I are considering looking for a new tow vehicle to haul our Keystone Bullet 308bhs (6100lbs dry) We have been towing it with my 2007 F150 with 5.4 V8 and towing package, but are interested in possibly a SUV since we have a new baby that will accompanying us, and the 3rd row seats sound nice. Short of older 2000's suburbans and excursions, are there any other newer model SUVs that can safely tow it? I fear we may be stuck looking for a 3/4 or larger truck, but would rather have the extra seating if possible. Its confusing reading everyones thoughts on different motors being junk...yada yada, so any concrete advice is appreciated :)Moving on up!So for the last year or two the wife and I have been enjoying our Jayco 19XUD, but we go to CW thursday to pick up our brand new Keystone Bullet 308bhs! Im so excited..it has eveyrthing we wanted and enough room to grow with our family! Anyone have any experience with the Keystone brand?Re: Refridgerator issueYeah, I must have been mistaken thinking it was running on ac going down the road. Battery checks out fine :)Re: Refridgerator issueWell I think we've gotten the problem figured out then...thanks for all the helpRe: Refridgerator issueYou may be right, but I would've sworn that it would run on ac mode while going down the road. Weve got a couple weeks until our next trip so I'm going to test the battery and get a trickle chargerRefridgerator issueWe have a Jayco 19XUD and before our last trip I noticed the battery was dead as it had not been plugged in while in storage :( I brought the camper home and plugged the camper in for a couple days before we left. We precooled the fridge for our trip. I noticed once we hit the road the fridge says its not getting any juice while plugged into my trucks hitch, but will only cool off propane. Any advice? Would a bad battery not allow it to work off the trucks power?
