Not the way it works Ben. Nitomethane is the most commonly used powerful motor fuel ever. Look up how many BTU's it has. Yea but the nitro cars are burning close to 5 gallons of it, in a 1000 feet Nope. Try 13 to 15 gallons/ run. And that's my point. It has so little BTU's/gallon it take a lot of fuel to make a run. Wow, everybody bit on that one! The subject was about gasoline and diesel right? Not methane, butane, propane, nitromethane, JP5, solid oxide (since we went down that road) or any other fuel. Nitromethane is just a bit off topic and not germane to the subject. It wasn't hard to understand what BenK stated, "Gasoline has fewer BTU's per unit measure than diesel (any dispute?), so diesel will most always produce more power per gallon." It can be added (than gasoline) for anyone that may have missed it or didn't understand that point. Forgive me if this comes across as "mean spirited" but this definitely took a left turn down the rabbit hole.Re: 6 people killed in Texas campsite attack captnjack wrote: Rdn6405 wrote: captnjack wrote: Walaby wrote: Maybe so I could take him out. I'd further guess that he isn't controlled by God either. If one could control him, then why not the other? If one could control him, then why not the other? How about we leave God and the devil (assuming either one even really exists) out of it? How about we all make our own decisions just like the killer did. How about no one sent him there any more than anyone sent the victims there? Or do we need to believe there is some kind of bigger plan at work? I want no part of a plan that kills multiple innocents for no apparent reason. Answering just this part of your question, light and darkness cannot exists in the same space at the same time. So, where there is light darkness cannot exists. Darkness is the absence of light. The perp is obviously FULL of darkness and there is no light in him. The darkness in his heart is what made it possible for him to do this. And yeah, bad things can happen to good people. Again, just say'n!Re: 6 people killed in Texas campsite attack goducks10 wrote: You can't control people without fear. No reflection on you goducks10. Your comment reminds me of a time in America where there was an attempt to control a "class of people" with fear by hooded individuals. Such may not be the case today but I think of those "nostalgic" coments. It wasn't always peaceful for everyone in America all the time. Just say'n.Re: Cover, yes or no?I would recommend covering. My dad had a 1979 Ideal that looked brand new when he recently sold it last year. I've had my Eagle since 09 and it is faded, yes my Eagle is faded and it doesn't even drink LOL! Anyway, get a cover and keep it looking like new. You wont regret it, I do wish I had covered mine. The So Cal sun can be brutal.Re: Towing with 1500this one maybe??Re: Rant - looking for a travel trailer johnsoax wrote: nomad297 wrote: I think you shouldn't have bought a Range Rover. Bruce I don't have a Range Rover. I have an LR3. Same company, different model. And no other vehicle meets my needs better. Not one. We are thinking about replacing the wife's vehicle (Honda Odyssey (absolute worst vehicle I have ever owned)) with an SUV (Nissan Armada or Infinity QX56) which could pull the 2920BH just fine. But, my main issue is just about all travel trailers for larger families need a huge tow vehicle, when reality is that it isn't needed. But then, I have had three RV dealers try to just throw a WD hitch on a trailer and then claim that my LR3 can pull it just fine..... We have not been able to find one to look at in real life, but from the video walk through we have seen, it is too claustrophobic for her. I was concerned though that the only place for storage was in the front by folding the lower bunks. I could see us going over the tongue weight too. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- All due respect to you and the Mrs, something has gotta give. Claustrophobic??? You are "camping" not moving to an apartment, right! "Base camp?" If you plan to spend most of your time in it then I can sympathize with momma but again, she's gotta put things into perspective.Re: Mud dauber/wasp screens tragusa3 wrote: I just bought screen to do this job myself. The folks that have the heater "bug screens" are referring to a stainless steel screen more in order with this, click here. Not so much your common household window screen.Re: Inverter/Converter help?Hey all, please forgive me for the late reply. I like the suggestions, gives me options to explore. Thank you, I've considered the space for another breaker, unfortunately there are no more spaces. The double breaker is a great idea, I didn't even think of that. The interrupter switch is a great idea as well. I think the double breaker would be the easiest and fastest way to "fix" this. I will take a look and see what I can find for my breaker panel in a double breaker. Hopefully I wont run into a road block so to speak.Re: Inverter/Converter help?Okay, got the inverter and transfer switch. Went to use it on my last outing and unfortunately my converter is tied to my 120 V outlets. Switch off the breaker for the converter and you lose power to the plugs. What I'd like to do is get another junction box with 7 breaker spots. There was a breaker for the microwave, the converter/outlets, Water heater, A/C,GFCI and then of course the main. I need one more space so I can tie the outlets to that one so the converter stands alone. Then I can run my inverter without the converter trying to run too. Any ideas where I can get an AC/DC 30 amp junction boxfor my TT?Re: Good reminder!I ain't perfect, but I have a routine that works pretty good for me. All has gone well for me up until this last trip out to Yosemite. We were out on a three week trip that included going all the way up to WA state from so Cal. Again all went well until our last leg home. Leaving Yosemite, cramped campground to say the least, anyway just as I started hooking up sure enough. Someone needs to get out and my TV is hanging out in the road to get out. Poor guy waited patiently and I'm scrambling to get connected, slides in and EVERYTHING. He finally backed up and found another way out, I finally do my walk around and everything appears to be in order. Start out on our way out of the valley, a good way out and we hear something banging around on the ground. Not sure quite what it was, I pull over and check everything out once again. All appears to be in order. We drive 300 miles to our last "layover" for the night before we get home and after we get backed into the space, I go to un-hitch and behold, my wrench for the over-arm latches (Hensley hitch) for my hitch is gone. Of course it didn't take long to figure out what that banging on the ground we heard earlier was. As diligent as one may try to be, and it may only happen once. There may always be something to through you off of your game one time. Thankfully, mine was minor and not costly.
