It's partially my fault for not keeping them treated but as CO said the OEM seals are junk.Replaced all of mine this year and will keep them treated since the cost with wiper and "D" seal was $6 a foot.Re: Rear kitchen.I'm currently looking at at rear kitchen for one good reason that I read on another forum, fire. The most likely place for a fire is the kitchen and a rear kitchen is far from a mid entry door.Re: Strange RadioHad this happen to me and eventually figured out the remote batteries were bad. Replaced them, end of problemRe: Batteries not pulling slides in after day of dry campingrjxj has a point. A battery load test doesn't always show a bad or weak cell.A hydrometer in conjunction with the load tester is the ticketRe: Long pull todayIt was a balmy 103 degrees in lovely Loma Rica Ca with a 20 mph north wind.Lost power to the stick and bricks for about an hour in the hottest part of the day.I think I'll keep this weather compared to yours. Safe travels.Re: Maintenance hintThat's why one should always check their u-bolts for tightness. If they get loose that puts undue stress on the center bolt. I've seen it quite often on heavy trucks. One quick way to check them is take a hammer and rap the u-bolt. If it's loose you can tell by the dull tone or any movement.Re: Disabled Parking PermitsI think all of us with disabilities would trade in our placard or plates to be free of it.Re: Grease seals/ Axle issuesrjsurfer,You can take the cheap Chinese seals to a bearing distributor such as Motion Industries and they can measure it and get you a SKF or National seal. Possibly the seals are not fitting the axle stub firm enough thus the leak. I usually mic the stub and take the measurement along for reference.Re: Replace slide out seals every five years? As with all things, the sun takes it's toll. I had to replace my wipers and seals after 6 years but I spend 5 to 6 months a year with my slides open and I was lax about seal maintanance.Replacement cost for seals and wipers ran about $6 a ft so from here on out I'll take better care of them. It does take long to apply treatment every few months.
