All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsTime to replace front electric JackMy 7 year old electric Jack will barely lift my trailer, and it makes a grinding popping sound. The battery is good and it’s plugged into a 50amp outlet. So that said, I’m going to start hitting the 3 bolts with penetrating oil. Is there anything special to replacing a Jack other than a couple electrical wires and unbolting 3 bolts?Re: Best 30 to 50a adaptor?Thank you!Best 30 to 50a adaptor?Switched lakes this year and the campground that a lot of friends are staying at this summer is 30a only. I normally try to stay at 50a spots, but there are a few weeks that it’s not possible. I have had an adaptor that I have used over the last 6 years on rare occasion, but it can get warm to the touch at times. Is there an adaptor that can run a WH/15k aC without getting warm to the touch? At one campground I actually set a fan at the pedestal to blow on the adaptor which kept it cool. Just looking for a high quality 30-50 adaptor.Removing built up sealant? My current Rv is 7 years old now and I have added sealant to the seams over the years. I’m looking to remove a lot of the built of sealant next spring and lay down a new bead. Any recommendations? It’s a fiberglass rv and the sealant I’m taking about is on the vertical seams on the front cap. ThanksRe: Albuquerque Rv campground?Thank you for all the responses.Albuquerque Rv campground?Looking to make a trip to Albuquerque mid-December, is there a campground you would recommend? Would like it to be rural with stuff to see close by.Re: Running a fridge on propane?I appreciate the feedback. Really hadn’t planned on running 2 AC units, off this 30a until people said they were. My plan is to run the ac and the WH off the 30a, fridge off propane and outside fridge off an extension cord plugged into the 15a on the post. If that doesn’t work I’ll run the wh off propane and the fridge off electric.. Lots of big stuff drawing on a 30a in 95 degree heat!Re: Running a fridge on propane?Thank you! Am I understanding g so if you correctly that you can run both Ac units on a 30 amp, given you run the fridge and wh on propane?Running a fridge on propane?Roughly how long can I run a fridge on propane in 90 degree heat? I’m camping at a site that has 30amp only so I’m wanting to run my fridge on propane. Will a 20lb cylinder normally last 4 days?Re: 30 to 50 adaptor hot?I appreciate the feedback. After a little more research I found that my outside fridge was running as well. So I had my outside fridge, inside fridge and ac pulling on the 30. There may be a little bit of a loose connection as well, but it had a pretty good load on it. Normally if I’m in a park and I don’t have 50a to grab, I’ll Plug the outside fridge into a 110 extension cord.
