Anyone with a Columbus 365RL
I have just purchased a new 2014 Dodge 3500 Cummins DRW, 4X4, crewcab. My installed hitch is a Curt Q20. The Trailer will not be delivered until mid Sept. What I would like to know is what height should my hitch be set at, and what is the height of the pin from the ground on the trailer. Can anyone clue me into what is required to legally run an ATV around the Yuma area. ??? I contacted the Arizona DOT/licensing section (waste of a long distance call), was finally told, after a 30 minute conversation, to contact the Fish and Game ???? They advised they had nothing to do with it and would be best to go to a MVD office on arrival. This is now the plan. However with that said, just wondering if any of you ATV'rs can fill me in on the ins and outs and details etc. BTW, I was also informed by ADOT that if the ATV was not to exceed 30 days in AZ, I was good to go on my plates and insurance. I clarified by asking if I went across the line to Calif. for a day of riding once every 2-3 weeks, if that would comply with AZ law. Hi There, We will be traveling South in October from the Edmonton Alberta area. We will be leaving in early Oct for Yuma (1st timers) which is not a major concern, as weather should be half decent.... My main concern is returning in March around the 20-25th. Is there a "a valley route" from Idaho Falls to Helena to avoid the passes??? Please suggest highways to use. We have to have our butts out of the USA before the 182 day mark I'm triple towing so Washington and Oregon are out of the question... WE are heading to Yuma ...1 st time getting away for the WHOLE winter, 6 months worth, for us and really looking forward to it. So it gets a little windy ?? So it might get in the 40 F range ?? Where I am from as an example the snow hit Oct 11 2012 and never left until the last weekend in April 2013 !!! OP, I was in law enforcement for 30 years. 1: You are probably a good driver (or darn lucky) to not have a traffic ticket other than a photo ticket, after so many years of driving; 2: If you can not see the light, DON'T enter the intersection. Plain and simple. Had that excuse tossed at me many times. Holds no water. Here's your ticket ( that carries demerit points, photo tickets do not.) 3: $60.00 is nothing.
