There's always the possibility to go bigger :). My 6.2 had the power but to drive something with everyday bad gas mileage really hurt. I tow a dump trailer from time to time so the diesel would help that out as well. the dump trailer is short distances. Glad that I don't have to narrow my search anymore than I have to. Helps keep the options open for the other things. Like A/C seats!!!! thanks again for the help!!!Super duty rear ratio!I'm starting to research buying a new truck. I'm defiantly going diesel this time and wondering what rear end a person should get. I'll be towing a camper around 9K. with about 1200K in the box of the truck. I'm hoping to buy used. My 6.2 had 3:73 which pulled our 8600# camper well, but wish it would have had the 4:10 in it. Does a person go to 3:55 or stay at 3:73 or even move up to 4:10. I would appreciate peoples information. Kind Regards, NathanRe: trailer wiring1st off, sorry about the 2 post in different topics. I'll try not to let that happen again. As far as the ground. I don't believe it is the ground. It is a double filament and the brakes / turn signals works. Also I checked the wiring with it disconnect to the truck ball. I'm really not looking forward to start tearing into the walls to pull wire.trailer wiringI'll try to keep this brief. I have a 2001 28foot travel trailer. while putting 600 miles on it this last week I found out my trailer park lamps were not working. The brake lights work, turn signals work but when it got dark I found out that the back area of the trailer was not working. The front marker lights work, but the back marker lights did not work nor did the parking lamps. I've checked all the bulbs, all sockets showed connectivity with my ohm meter. I checked all the fuses in the 2014 ford F250. Finally when I check the sockets for voltage only the left parking lamp showed voltage. the back marker and right parking lamp showed no voltage. I'm looking for area to trouble shoot. I figure there are a lot of people that have had experience with this. Kind Regards,Re: gear ratio. Thanks for the info. I'm looking forward to the step up in truck and to enjoy the trips more. I'm really looking forward to going farther distancing and showing my kids the US.Re: gear ratio. goducks10 wrote: #40Fan wrote: CTD and don't look back. x2 I'm not sure what that means! Please explain.gear ratio.hey all, I'm looking at purchasing a new tow vechicle. I believe I'm going diesel, but wondering what people think a good gear ratio would be for towing 9,000lbs. I see most 3/4 ford have 3:55. I was thinking at least 3:73. what are the thoughts?replacing vinyl flooringI'm thinking of replacing the vinyl flooring. Do you know if a regular flooring place can install that flooring? I would be willing to take the toilet out. I really don't have time to do it myself right now and would just like to get it done. Any advice would be great. Thanks,
