I always turn switch off when leaving campsite. Through the years I have turned water off to two campers that had water running out of them.Re: Gas way downAbout 2 1/2 weeks ago gas here was $2.41 IN about 8 or 9 days it was up to $3.50 and now back down to $3.15Re: Plugged new TT into 220v (wired wrong by electrician) HELP?!I had the experience of plugging in to a supposed to be 30 amp 120 volt RV outlet at a campground with a almost new trailer. Found out that a electrician had spent the winter at that site and had just departed that day. The campground owner said he didn't know he had rewired it but it didn't do much damage. I came in after dark and the outlet was close to ground so plugged in and was visiting with a friend for 30 or 40 minutes before I knew anything was wrong. My son said the little nite light was real brite and when he turned his tape player on it played real fast for a second than made a pop sound and quit working. The only damage was refrigerator heating element was burned out, ground fault outlet burned out and sons tape player borned out. The power convertor breaker was tripped but was ok. When I went to unplug from outlet, I took a flashlight and notice a little wrinkled tag that read "this outlet has been changed to 220, good luck". I had the trailer for about 9 years after that and no other problems ever showed up.Re: Brake Wiring? The wires going through the axles may have insulation worn and shorting out sometimes. I have had five 5th wheels that I purchased new and have learned that it doesn,t take a lot of miles to wear thru if there is a kink in wiring going through axle. I just pull them out and zip tie wires on outside of axle.Re: Your Rig
