Someone mentioned snow. We camped there 27 years ago in mid June and got run off by snow (6" in one night). The next day we heard they closed roads that were not passable. It can snow at any time in Yellowstone.
I am happy they don't have carpet. Carpet is nice for bare feet and if you take off your shoes before entering. That seldom happens so whatever you track in will stay there. A smooth floor is much easier to keep clean. I never could understand carpet...
