Then I would hear it again every once in a while for a few weeks, usually just at start up for a bit. Then a few weeks ago it resolved again. Our temperatures have warmed up quite a bit here, so not sure if it is weather dependent or what? If it comes back again, might just get a new power steering pump as it seems the problem is with that pulley. belt chirp/squeak 2018 GMC 2500 hd 6.0 60K miles Couple months ago, started getting intermittent chirp from belt/pulleys. Seemed worse in wet weather. Tried trouble shooting. Sprayed water on the serpentine belt and it would stop the chirp temporarily. Figured a new belt would fix it. It did fix it for a few weeks, then it came back. Sprayed water on the new belt again and it would temporarily stop the chirp again for a few seconds. I did a little more investigating and figured I would change the tensioner and idler pulley. Changed both of those and the stretch fit air conditioning belt (which was not fun) but that didn't stop it. Tried another new belt, different brand this time, and the squeaking stopped again...for about only 3 weeks and now it's back. Spray a little water on the belt, and it momentarily stops the squeal. I can't determine exactly where it's coming from, if it's a pulley or what? If its a pulley, why does it stop when I spray a little water on the belt? I did remove the belt and just grabbed all the pulleys and spun them and they all seem to sound good and don't have any play in them. Any ideas? Re: Norcold N8xlt intermittent on LPUpdate. Decided to change the whole gas train assembly which had the new spark electrode assembly attached already. Been almost 3 days and it’s running without intermittently shutting down. It’s also running noticeably louder. Can hear the burner roaring now even though it seemed to be working before and cooling the fridge well. So I didn’t narrow the problem down to figure out if it was the sparker or reduced gas flow?Re: Norcold N8xlt intermittent on LPUpdate. Last night got the red light. Turned it on, but it didn’t light after the 10 or so click sequence. Could see the blue spark and hear the gas coming out. Turned it off and back on to go through the lighting sequence again. Saw the spark, heard the gas coming out. After 4 or 5 clicks without ignition, I stuck a lighter by the burner and it lit immediately. Stayed lit all night. It cycled on and off this morning once successfully too. I have the whole gas train assembly, but will try to replace just the spark electrode assembly.Re: Norcold N8xlt intermittent on LPAfter two days of working got the solid red light this am. Did the lp test. Everything seemed good. Had all lp appliances on, 5 burners, furnace , water heater, fridge. Flames were good. Shut fridge off with everything running and turned it back on and it lit up and had a nice blue flame yet. Thinking it could be something voltage related, I turned on all dc lights, then shut fridge off and turned it back in and it lit in one spark. I do have a volt gauge and battery was saying 12.3.Norcold N8xlt intermittent on LPWe are boondocking and running our 5 year old fridge on Auto. Runs on lp most of the time, but 5 hours a day we run the generator for charging up batteries and other devices. Fridge always runs well on AC. When it runs on lp, it cools well (temp is actually usually 28-30), burner has a nice blue flame, no sputtering or orange flame. but every day and a half or so it will throw the solid red fault light on front of fridge and burner is out when on lp. Usually just turn it off, turn it back on and it lights back up. Might have to do this 2-3 times, but usually starts right back up on first try. The couple times it didn't start right back up on first try, it was clicking and trying to light but wouldn't. I'm assuming because I could hear the clicking that it is what is generating the "spark"? So was thinking a gas problem maybe, but why so intermittent? I did clean the burner out with compressed air. It looked very clean. I had a Winntec regulator that I got a recall on, but they told me because I had a "17" in the date code, it didn't need replacing just inspection. I replaced it with a Camco double stage 59005 and the same intermittent problem is occurring. Could the gas valve not be opening intermittently? Would a bad valve cause that, or something in the main board? I know I probably need to test the lp pressure at the valve, but don't have a manometer, and it's hard to trouble shoot when the problem is so random and seems to "fix" itself by just turning the fridge on and off. Any suggestions or ideas to figure this intermittent problem out? Is it possible the thing could overheat because it's been very warm and we are running the fridge on a the coldest setting?Lp stove not percolating coffeeWe dry camp a lot with our fiver and make coffee on the stove top. The inside stove really won’t percolate the coffee. It barely bubbles up. The outside lp stove does, takes about 20 minutes. On the inside stove there seems to be very little adjustment in the flame. Seems the same between low all the way to just before high, then the flame gets taller. It is a nice blue flame and not flickering orange. It’s the same with all three burners. I normally make coffee outside anyway, but in the early spring and late fall we would like to do it inside the rig. Also, we can boil water in a pot on inside stove. Maybe it’s the tall shape off the coffee pot that makes it difficult to percolate?Re: cold temps/water linesI did go drain all the tanks and lines and blew them out with the compressor. My camper does have an "all season insulation package" but I didn't want to risk it.Re: cabinet door coming apart laknox wrote: rtreptow7 wrote: Just an update. Brought the door in the house last weekend. Was going to go borrow some pipe clamps from my father in law. Grabbed the door to show him and the floating panel now seemed loose and I could easily squeeze the frame back together by hand. Last weekend I couldn't get it to come together no matter how hard I pushed on it. The door did sit in my wood furnace room over the past week. It gets pretty warm and dry in there. So I'm guessing the humidity evaporated out of the wood? Will try to glue and clamp it back together and see what happens when it returns to the elements. As one of the others said, you may want to disassemble the door and sand the center panel a bit, to give it a bit more space to "float". Lyle I'd like to try and dissassemble but the thing is nailed or stapled together with tiny little nails or pins too. Not sure how to get those out without ruining the door finish. I'm wondering if the glue will be strong enough to hold the door frame together? I can see how the expansion ripped the pins right through the wood.Re: cabinet door coming apartJust an update.
