Best advice I can give you gitpicker2009 is that it all comes down to this: the thicker the mattress topper, the hotter it will feel. I own a memory foam mattress topper and i must say that the wife and i love sleeping on it. Never going back to the usual bare spring mattress. That being said memory foam are more likely to give you heat. On the other side, wool and feather toppers don’t retain the body’s heat. In plain English, in the winter, memory foam provide extra warmth.
