Close to an area we want to see. We spend about 1/3 of our time in the park, 2/3 exploring the surrounding area. Glad the kids have outgrown the pool thing.Re: Newbies finding diesel fuelWe have been into some tight stations, Even once had to back out into the city trafic in Seattle. Sucks. That was the last time of thinking just one more exit. And believeing a sign that said "Big rigs welcome" Guess it meant we were welcome, just not easy to use. Also had a Pilot that the car section was worse than you could immagine. So do not just go by name plate. Their truck area out bak was great. Just not allowed out there. We also look just entering or leaving a city. And we once tried to use a OTR lane in oregon and were told it would be extra. Also those pumps are big, lots of air in the diesel in your small tank. Diesel is not hard to find anymore. Watch the trucks, or farmers, maybe even get a CB and ask the people in the area.Re: unnecessary idleingI grew up the son of a truckdriver. I love the sound, and smell, But would never put that on someone else. I also would not drive a "quiet" diesel, because that is not my preferance. I idle at check in, and off as soon as possible in the spot. I hook up, and idle out in the morning. I do have a great power differance between cold and hot. But there is plenty of power to idle out to the street, and ease on down the road. Couple of blocks and we can let it roll. It is a misunderstanding for some, for many it is just the attitude that I am the only one that counts in this world. We have had people cause a lot of noise into the late hours next to us on a nightly basis, and let that go also. We are, after all, supposed to be enjoying this trip.Re: Campfire Pizza! We love pizza, out here we use a take and bake pizza from "papa murphy's" and cook it in the dutch oven. Can't beat it. I love the golden crust. Get the right size pizza for the oven. For us it has become a first night staple, easy after setting up camp. We have also used biscut dough and the pizza dough that comes in a roll, but we find if it is the first night, this is the easiest.Re: HEY we need a sticky for our TT pics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!ok, I am really clueless. Is a host site a place to load the photos on the web? what do you recommend?Re: HEY we need a sticky for our TT pics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!So how do I resize?
