You need more airflow over the cooling fines on both the condenser and radiator. If you have an electric fan, see if there is room to install one more. It can go in front on the condenser, just turn it so it blows in. If it is a mechanical fan (clutch type) look into a fan with a couple more blades Re: Preventing camper issue When disconnecting; solar first, then battery. When hooking up connect battery first, solar second. Re: Traveling out West from Indiana with 40' Motorhome pulling trailer w/jeep in late August. You have about 1600 miles whether you go to YNP from the north or the south. I mapped the distance from Indianaoplis. Either route is not bad. Take one going there and the other going home. I stay at Grizzlys in West Yellowstone when we go there. It is the highest priced but is the nicest, for a trip like you are doing it is money well spent. When you are in the park it has two loops, upper and lower. Both take a day to do. Stop at the visitor in town, get your info about things to do and get a map of the park there. At Roosevelt, on the upper loop, you can go horseback riding or take the stagecoach ride. I would take the stagecoach. Grandkids went on it last year and saw buffalo and a bear a little way away. Use your third day to hang out in the town, go shopping, hit the bear center, have lunch and relax. Fourth day go to Virgina City, it is an old gold mining town. Take the small train to Carson City, just 2-3 miles long. Stop by the visitor center at earthquake lake, you go right by it. It is about 85 miles one way. Find a brochure for there. It is worth the trip. Be prepared for crowds, leave early in the morning to avoid the worst of the crowds and get back early enough to have a cocktail and start supper. Bring your patience and mostly PAY ATTENTION TO THE GUIDES AND TRAIL SIGNS IN THE PARK, you do not want to be "that guy" that gets put on the internet for doing dumb stuff. Re: New to RVing about 6 months ago. Between Grand Canyon and Yellowstone there are some great National Parks am Monuments. Monument Valley, Zion, Bryce, Capital Reef, Archs, Canyon Lands and the Grand Tetons. Those could add a fair bit of time to the trip, but you are going right by. It would be a shame to miss them. On the way home from Yellowstone go through Cody take in the rodeo. Stop by Devils Tower and through the black hills. Probably 6000 miles and 30 days but will be a trip to remember all great places. Just be prepared for crowds, traffic and people in the parks. Re: How to test Converter voltage Easiest way would be to unplug from shore power, put your voltmeter on the battery check the voltage. Plug back into shore power, check the battery voltage, should come up if the converter is working.
