I have a 2022 Wolf Pup 16fq with an Everchill 12v refreigerator. The trailer came from the factory with a single lead acid deep cycle battery. The trailer also came equipped with a roof-mounted 50 watt solar panel. This solar panel will keep the battery charged when the trailer is in storage, but WILL NOT keep the battery charged while boondocking because the refrigerator draws too much power. Since we are seldom hooked up to shore power, I replaced the lead acid battery with two 100 aH lithium iron phosphate batteries wired in parallel. I also carry three portable 100 watt solar panels wired into a Renogy controller compatible with lithium batteries. Since the solar panels are portable, I can move them around for maximum solar exposure. With this setup, I no longer have any issues with lack of battery power.667Views0likes0Comments
