Perhaps YOU are the one that needs to look at a map. There is NO I-80 out of Portland. I-84 runs east out of Portland. And that's not the way I want to go. I wasn't asking about I-84. I was asking about Hwys 26 & 97. Sure hope you day gets better. Take a breath and be a better human. Re: Hwy 26 and Hwy 97 into Bend Thanks for the response. I guess I wasn't very clear in my original post. I know Bend is not on I-5. That's the reason I'm asking about Hwy 26 & Hwy 97. Hwy 26 runs east from Portland. I'll be coming south, from Washington on I-5. My intention is to take Hwy 26 East out of Portland to Hwy 97. Then Hwy 97 south into Bend. I am concerned about pavement conditions, sharp turns and low overpasses. Since this is a major truck route I shouldn't have to worry about those concerns. The only obstacle left would be weather and weather related road conditions. Again, thank you for the response. This is my first post on the Good Sam forum. I'll try to be more specific from now on. Hwy 26 and Hwy 97 into Bend I have a question about Hwy 26 and Hwy 97 in Oregon. I'm towing a 46 foot fifth wheel toy hauler. Are Hwy 26 & Hwy 97 okay for a rig this size ? I'll be coming south on I-5 into Bend. Then I'll need to head south and west to get back to I-5. Any suggestions for getting back to I-5 ? We will be making this drive in February. Any trouble with snow or ice ? Thanks for any info Re: Hwy 26 in Oregon? Sorry about hijacking this thread, but I also have a question about Hwy 26 in Oregon.
