It makes the unit darker inside.Re: Disconnected HosesThat hose is the low point drain in the cold (blue) and hot (red) water lines. They usually have caps for them. They must not have been reinstalled after the unit was winterized. Check with the RV dealer, they should be able to give you some.Re: Keystone OUTBACK TERRAIN 250TRSThat change is bed position is a great improvement in the bed design. I have an older trailer of a different manufacturer which we sleep with our heads at the sides. It makes it more difficult to get in and out of bed. The new 250TRS is on my list as my next trailer. The added cabinets is great as well for storing clothing, my current trailer doesn't have any cabinets in the bed slide.Re: Newbie question on mirrorsI have the same issue with my 2011 Expy. I have strap on mirrors that work well that I bought at Canadian Tire. I believe Walmart sells Reese strap on mirrors similar to the ones that I bought. Just a tip if you get those mirrors is to put the spare end of the strap behind the strap to keep it from flopping around. I wouldn't want to tow without the extended mirrors. I adjust the vehicle's passenger mirror to view lower so I can keep an eye on my axles on turns to keep away from curbs.Re: Weight Distribution and max tongue weightI'm glad that I don't have a toy hauler. That would be a pain to keep track of the tongue weight based on what I had in the rear.Re: Adding 12 Volt receptacle in back storage areaIt is the converter that I was talking about. I added some lights to my pantry since I couldn't see what was in the back of it. I used a spare circuit to feed those lights. Luckily for me, I only had to go a couple of feet to get the power.Re: Adding 12 Volt receptacle in back storage areaThe power center usually has some spare spaces available to add circuits. If you use one of the spare spaces you can add a dedicated circuit and fuse size as needed, this would be a shorter run then going to the battery. You wouldn't be trying to add a fuse block and trying to make the connection at the battery. The power center is usually near the floor so that you could run under the trailer to the back.Re: Any advice on a good TT for my 2012 Expedition?I have a Expedition long wheelbase which I use to tow with. I have a smaller trailer and no issues. As noted the payload can be eaten up quickly. I put everything that I can in the trailer so that in the Expy I only have the passengers, dogs and snacks for on the trip. It helps to keep me away from reaching the max payload. You have to remember that the hitch head adds weight from the allowable payload, they are fairly heavy as well depending on the setup you end up with. The rear springs are softer in the Expy then a pickup so a good weight distribution with anti-sway is a good investment.Re: Newbie- picking out first TTThe note about sitting on the toilet is a real good one. There was a trailer layout that I loved but once I sat on the toilet my knees were against the tub. Another is the queen beds, most have short queens which are an issue for tall people. Some floor plans allow to change out the short queen for a longer mattress.Re: DIY Fantastic FanYou should add a relay to make the contact of the fan instead of running the power through the thermostat. This would prevent from frying the thermostat with the fan load.
