Unless you're exceptional, you can't talk on a cell phone and steer at the same time and give both the attention they deserve. One exception - If you already rear ended somebody while talking on the phone, hang up and call a tow truck and your insurance company. That would be funny if it wasn't true:B! Not really true, I know three people that have received MAJOR tickets when they were not speeding. Two were on highways and one was in a school zone. Whether the wrong vehicle was stopped or the radar gun was wrong doesn't matter. A judge doesn't care what your defense is, you aren't going to win. I used to ride with a policeman now and then, and it was not uncommon to get false reading on the radar. And I am not anti-police either, I just don't like being guilty when you aren't. JimRe: COMMON CURTESYI usually will turn my left turn signal off and back on for a couple of blinks. When a truck driver flashes his trailer lights, the trailer lights lights are the only ones that flash. The vehicles in front of them don't see any flashing lights. Most trucking companies don't allow the practice anymore for liability reasons. The light switches in most trucks seem to be easier to reach safely also. Don't lose any sleep over it, there are a lot of good reasons that people don't return your flashes...... JimRe: USA Urban Stays Versus CanadaJust delete it all.Re: I want OneI like it! He proudly displayed that he's not a coward and believes in right vs. wrong. No one's condemning him. Folks are simply pointing out that he didn't need to put him or his daughter at risk at that point. And while he may have been willing to accept the consequences of his action, the owner of the RV, his daughter, and his daughter's mother may not have been willing to accept those consequences. This is where most people fail - considering what all the other people impacted by their actions want/can handle. It's more than just your personal desire to stop the bad guy - what can your family handle? What can the victim handle? Who gives a hoot what the victim can handle. A little pain may straighten them out. JimRe: What Happens 1 Hour After Eating BaconI didn't know that science doesn't know how a cat purrs.... Guns in particular have to watch not to touch politics which is nigh impossible given the reason we need to discuss them. Some Forums like military.com won't let you touch Illegal Aliens nor Muslim subjects in relation to any military or otherwise subject. This is a recent thing. Some gun forums have gotten that way. Faceboox is bad about censoring. Anything controversial or not and some group or person complains and free speech goes out the window. Same situation with twitter. Some newspapers and news agencies are no longer able to connect to unless first rout to one server then another. Some stories appear and then are gone in minutes to hours, not just in foreign press agency site either. I agree, but let the moderators handle it if need be. Ignore the ones you ( generic "you", not you in particular) don't like, don't demand to have them shut down for everyone. Jim
