It surely helped me decide what to buy back in 2003. I think this is an incredible waste of money. You don't really get any reviews about models, just some general, non-specific opinion about brands. I bought this a couple years ago and the data is not really worth anything. For instance, there are 523 "model reports" for Aljo trailers, but the only difference between any of the reports is basic specifications (like length) that anyone can find. The "staff review" is identical for each and every report. There just isn't enough critical information about specific models to make this a worthwhile tool. What information you do get in the "staff review" are simply quotes from owners. You can find hearsay for free on the Internet.Re: Dicor vs ProflexRV for sidewall seams??Last year I replaced my range hood vent using Dicor non-sag sealant. It was easy to work with and has held up well. I would use it again.Re: Wasted rv covers Fresno Tundra Driver wrote: Used properly a good cover is worth its weight in gold. Just look at all the faded rv's with peeling or missing decals. Our 2003 has been covered 95% of the time when not in use and it still looks almost new. People not using covers of some sort are in denial. JMHO. What kind of cover do you have and how long does it last? I had an ADCO sunbrella cover that worked well for the first year, but by year two the sun had beat the fabric up so much that it was about as strong as notebook paper. You could tear it with very little force. I'm on the fence as to whether I should replace it.Re: Aero Towing MirrorsI'll add to the pile. My grand aero mirrors work on my Touareg just perfectly. Easy on/easy off.Re: Have you ever pulled into a weigh station? hotpepperkid wrote: "Truck" means any motor vehicle designed and used for carrying things other than passengers, except pickup trucks and vans included within the definition of passenger automobile in subdivision 24. Read the complete sentence That's why I also posted the definition in subdivisions 24 and 26. Go back and re-read the entire post. A pickup truck with a GVWR of 10,000 pounds or more is not included in the definition of a pickup truck in subdivision 24. So the exception you emphasized does not apply.Re: Have you ever pulled into a weigh station? hotpepperkid wrote: And we still don't know their definition of a truck as pertaining to truck and weigh stations Sure we do. 168.002 states: Subd. 37.Truck. "Truck" means any motor vehicle designed and used for carrying things other than passengers, except pickup trucks and vans included within the definition of passenger automobile in subdivision 24. Now subdivision 24 defines a passenger vehicle, and it says that includes a pickup truck. A pickup truck is defined in subdivision 26: Subd. 26.Pickup truck. "Pickup truck" means any truck with a manufacturer's nominal rated carrying capacity of three-fourths ton or less and commonly known as a pickup truck. If the manufacturer's nominal rated carrying capacity is not provided or cannot be determined, then the value specified by the manufacturer as the gross vehicle weight as indicated on the manufacturer's certification label must be less than 10,000 pounds. So a "truck" in Minnesota includes any pickup truck with a GVWR of 10,000 pounds or more.Re: Have you ever pulled into a weigh station? In California most weigh stations have a sign that says "No Pickups" like this: However, the CVC defines a "pickup truck" among other things as having a GVWR under 11,500 pounds (and unladen under 8,001 pounds). So if your truck has 11,500 GVWR you are supposed to stop. (And now you know why the F-350 option weight package is 11,400 pounds.)Re: The Brow is back.I wonder if it has a built-in blender. :) Re: tow mirrors crcr wrote: I literally tried ALL of the add on mirrors, and far and away the best are the Grand Aero Towing Mirrors. Linky link I've tried them all and these are definitely the best. They are Milenco mirrors from the UK.Re: Andersen-3604 Camper Leveler Lspangler wrote: You have to cut an inch or two off the tip of one to get it between the tires. D'oh! Why didn't I think of that?! I tried using my set a few weeks ago and gave up after I couldn't slip one between the tires.
