I too, am relatively new to rving, we only use a generator enroute also, so we went to tractor supply, got a champion 3500 watt generator for about$300.00 it might be a shade loud, but in a rest area it isn't noticed. we use air and tv. and microwave. it uses 2.5 gallons of gas for about 11 hrs. then we go to a full hookup campground the next day. I would use it anytime though and if it ever gave me trouble, I would loosen 4 bolts and give it away and go to tractor supply and get another one. we are happy with ours. it is on a rack on the back of the fiver.1.5KViews0likes0Commentsblack streaks
I might not be posting this in the proper place, if not, I apologize. I have tried several products when washing my fw, however have had very little success removing streaks. I have fiberglass sides on my 04 hr savoy. I bought a 2013 2500 shortbed diesel. I too had a problem finding a hitch to fit in it. I called all around and nobody carried an application for the new frames in the ram short bed. finally , about to give up I found out that camper world in Asheville had one in fact the only one at the time to fit it. an automatic sliding hitch glide rite I think is the name. put it in and no problems.508Views0likes0CommentsRe: I want a generator
i am no expert by any means, but we bought a champion 4k generator at tractor supply also and are pleased with it. it's mounted on the back of fiver and when we are in bed we don't hear it run. we only use it in rest areas tho. it would be noisy if campers were close to the back of our camper. we stay in full hookup campgrounds so far. if i depended on one tho i would probably get Honda. just don't see putting that much money out for what we use one for.274Views0likes0CommentsRe: short bed truck
i bought a ram 2500 short bed in june, got a pullrite automatic slider in it. don't know much about all this as I am new to fifth wheeling, but it works great I think. at the time, they were the only co. or so I was told that had an application for the new frame of the 2013 ram.567Views0likes0Comments
