All these years and I had no idea those pins were there for this very purpose! God forbid they should break...????Re: Keeping fridge door open while in storageThank you so much!Re: Keeping fridge door open while in storage 2112 wrote: LASilvey wrote: Wow, I'm gonna have to look now...I've never used those pins! They hold it open enough for good air flow and really hold it steady in the event of movement?? Thank you! That's how I store mine. That's what it's there for. It can be a little difficult to get the pin to line up with the hole. I have to work at it. It leaves a slight gap between the frame and gasket to allow air in. Remember it's pinned when you go back to open it. It looks closed and you'll break the pin if you go tugging on it. Thank you so much! I gotta go check mine and see how this works! Surely since I have the pins, I have the holes as well - I've just never noticed them?!Re: Keeping fridge door open while in storage nickthehunter wrote: 2112 wrote: LASilvey wrote: My door has pins you can extend to keep the door from closing however, they don't keep it from swinging open if the rig moves. Norcold has a slot in the door jam for the pin to slide into to hold the door slightly open. Exactly, that's how mine work also. They extend into a little hole to keep the door from moving. Ok, I'm gonna have to double check my door because I know about the pins but have never noticed a slot to keep the door open solid! I've seen the little cards but those only seem to work for Dometic.Re: Keeping fridge door open while in storage nickthehunter wrote: All the RV fridges that I have seen have a lock that holds the door ajar and locked into that position. Check the manual. My question is, while there's a hundred ways to keep your door open while the rig is still, does anyone else have this situation and a good way to keep the door open yet not banging open/closed in the event the trailer moves? Thank you!Best skylight shadeWe're replacing the skylights in our trailer and the existing shade will no longer work with the new skylight. Can anybody recommend some good skylight shades including one that would work well in a bathroom? Our current bathroom skylight doesn't have a shade and it drives me nuts so I'd like to add one although I worry about the moisture and mildew growing on it. Thank you!Re: Edge of kitchen sink repairbpounds - the area that was damaged is along the outer edge of the sink, so the function wasn't affected. I'd thought about caulk, but that remains tacky and I don't want anything getting inside and discolorong. As for Seam Fill, I've never heard of it - thank you! I've often wondered what someone would do should their RV countertops ever need replacing! Thank you!Re: Edge of kitchen sink repairOmg, westend, awesome idea! Thank you!
