So Ive made the mistake of reading about the Death wobble in the F250's. Now Im terrified of getting one. Thoughts?Re: Bunkhouse TT SuggestionsWe went on Sunday and looked around and ended up finding the Coleman 2455 BH and we really like it. Here it is. Let me know what you guys think of the Dutchman brand. We also looked at an Alpha Wolf with the same floor plan. It was super nice and seemed more premium but was also a solid $7k more expensive. Not sure if that is worth the diff to us or not. The coleman has things like power stabilizers etc and the alpha wolf doesnt. https://www.rvusa.com/rv-guide/2020-dutchmen-coleman-light-travel-trailer-floorplan-2455bh-tr45603Re: Tow Vehicle Advice For NewbieSo I after a TON of searching I found a pre-owned *1 owner local trade in* 2015 F250 for sale about an hour and half away from me. They have it listed at $24,000. It has about 60k miles on it. Does this sound like a good deal? Think this would be a reliable purchase that fits our towing needs?Re: Tow Vehicle Advice For Newbie busterja21 wrote: Rvdreaming -check this link used f250's they have these in stock regularly. I imagine there should be some similar priced ones around you. Whooooah those are some good prices! I haven't found anything around here close to the 30's. I wonder if there's more pre-owned trucks out there in CO than there is here in NC.Re: Bunkhouse TT Suggestions the e-man wrote: Grand Design Transcend Xplor 265BH Oh man that's neat. It is a little big. But it's a cool floorplan. I'll have to see if I can find one to go look at. I found this one too that looks pretty cool: Surveyor Legend 240BHLE Not sure what to think about the murphey bed. Not having a spot all of the time to lay down and relax.Re: Bunkhouse TT Suggestions Camper8251 wrote: Check starcraft, all the mfgs make a bunk house BUT I am about the sameMaybe this? KODIAK ULTRA-LITE 248BHSL That one is pretty cool. I need to look more into the weight of it. I really would like a 3/4 ton truck I'm just not sure I can push my budget that far yet. I spent a few hours looking around and I haven't really seen anything yet in my price range.Bunkhouse TT SuggestionsHi All! My family and I are looking into getting started with a travel trailer. Im 33 my wife is 35 and our two boys are 3 and 6. We are struggling to find exactly the right TT. I was hoping you guys might be able to point us toward some good options. About us. I'm 6'4" and 300 lbs. So we need at least a queen sized bed. We want bunks for the kids and would prefer a u shaped slide out dinette. Other than that we want something in the sub 7,000lbs LOADED weight range if possible. We are having to purchased a new TV as well and we aren't sure that we will be able to spring for the HD F250 etc. Are there any decent small bunkhouse trailers that would fit these needs? And have enough length in the master bed for me? Thanks a lot! Can't wait to see you guys on the road. I found the Jayco Jayfeather X213 and thought it was perfect. Bunks and even had a King bed! But the wife feels like the interior common space in the dinette/kitchen is too cramped.Re: Tow Vehicle Advice For Newbie packpe89 wrote: Stay away from a few bad apples (Ford 6.0 for example). What makes the ford 6.0 a bad apple? I found this one. Its 6k over my budget though. https://www.carmax.com/car/18638151Re: Tow Vehicle Advice For NewbieLots of awesome replies. Thanks all! So I've been looking around for f250's. I'm not sure I;; be able to stretch my budget up that far. In my area it's looking like the used ones fall in 37k range. I was already stretching a bit to spend 30k. I'll keep looking around to see what I can find.Re: Tow Vehicle Advice For Newbie wopachop wrote: Will it be your daily driver and do you put on a lot of miles for work? Ideal situation is a big ole truck for towing and something smaller and more comfy with awesome gas mileage for everything else. Many people who love camping and consider it their main hobby still only go out a handful of times a year. No Im lucky in that I work from home. So this truck is mainly being purchased for towing the camper and for taking my kids out with their dirtbikes to ride.
