Just check for water leaks and make sure the fridge works... I had a bad control board I had to have fixed... Mike C.Re: Diesel fuel penaltyI bought my truck just for my camper... But I tell you what compared to what I get in my 2500 gas suburban compared to my 2500 HD Truck... I take the truck everytime.... Plus I like the brakes much better in the truck compared to the Suburban.... Mike C.Re: ConfusedI would think for the peace of mind at some time in their future they may no longer be able to drive or the death of a spouse... To me, it would be a sense of security... At some point physical limitations would make traveling and the maintenance of a trailer, motorhome, rv in general just too overwhelming.... Mike C.Re: purchasing from a private partysee if they are the orginal owner if so they more than likely have a purchase agreement with the place that sold it too them or purchase contract.... They should have some type of paperwork to go with it... And some people want to try and trade you cars boats livestock whatever.... I know I just sold my travel trailer and some of the weird ones really crawl out of the wood work..... Mike C.Re: Where do I start?Just some food for thought... If you get an inkling of an idea what you finally want to buy... Go rent one similar for a week or 2 and see if it truly suits your needs... Just a thought before you invest in one and find out your not happy with it.... At least thats something I might myself do.... Mike C.Re: Weater pro awningWell if new motor not working my guess is bad switch .... it wiring and ground are correctly done.... Mike C.Re: Generator removal for home emergency useI have a honda eu3000 I figured thats enough for the fridge and the lights... and possibly the heater if I really needed it... Southern california.... Not such a big deal..... Mike C.Re: Do I need an inverterYup or like my camper I have a couple of 12vlt Cigarette plugs like in your car to run similar items... You might not even need an inverter if you have a couple of these... You can also buy an extension cord for them at campering world or pepboys... I have a 12 vlt fan that does a really nice job of moving the air around at night... I bought the 8ft cord so I can move it around... Make life nicer..... Mike C.Re: Dry camping with one 12 volt battery.Yup thats when you have a couple of solar panels and a controller come in nice... Mike C.
