The first 2 times was pulling our 28' TT and the last time pulling our 32' FW. Only tolls are on I-64 between Cabin Creek and Beckley in WV. There are 3 booths heading South and 3 North. Each one was $6.50 but I have an I-Pass so could be a bit more expensive without.Family Reunion ideas around Paducah, KYThe last several years my cousin's and I have met up for a family reunion camping weekend. As we have spread out further it is getting harder to find a place which is not too far of a drive for any of us. We span mid-Iowa to NE Georgia. Thinking something around Paducah, KY would be good. Any one know of any campgrounds in that area with family fun activities? Cabins would be good too. We have done water parks, amusement parks and even one with a quarry for swimming and a small river for rafting and kayaking. Kids range from toddlers to young adults. Any suggestions would be appreciated.Re: Trailer brakes stop working when headlights are onSorry, for not providing any updates as I was in the process of moving my daughter into college and getting her settled in. I tried several different testing methods including looking for a bad ground, connecting a separate ground from trailer to truck, hooking up another truck to see if it had a similar issue and even having a mobile RV tech come look at the issue. No luck! Appears it may be an issue with the IBC itself.Trailer brakes stop working when headlights are onMy Reflection has developed an issue where the trailer brakes stop working when my headlights are on. In the truck I get a Check Trailer Wiring message. When this occurs the trailer brakes don't work. When I turn the headlights off trailer brakes work again. On may last trip this also happened about 50% of the time I used a turn signal. I have checked 7-pin connector and find no corrosion. I am thinking it is a grounding issue but not sure what to check in the 5th wheel, any suggestions? I have run a 13.5 A/C unit on a single Honda at much lower altitudes but it is about all the generator can handle. I have also tried to do the same at 5,000+ feet and it will not do it. However, I have run 2 Hondas in parallel many times and it will run the microwave, A/C and fridge all at the same time with no problem. The Hondas in parallel should run close to all of the same amenities as a 30A outlet. ^^^ check this.. When I was running the same set up, I was rushed 1 day during set up and I reversed 2 of the 3 cables that run it in parallel.. was not running AC, just everything else, the MAIN genny ran out of fuel while the 2nd was still almost full....All the draw was on 1 I've not managed to do that yet, but always wondered what would happen if you crossed the red and black wires.Re: Two honda generators in tandemIt sounds as though the generators are not actually running in parallel for some reason. Not sure if you prefer 2 lane highways, but 218 is a much nicer 4 lane divided highway. 27, 61 & 218 run together from just west of Hannibal up to almost the Iowa state line. My route would be 218 to Iowa City, I-80 East to Davenport and then 61 North to Dubuque. I live in Davenport and have travelled to both Branson and the Dells many times.Re: Dump valve won't close all the way ken56 wrote: Pick up an add on valve. It will attach just like the hose and you will not need to take a shower after taking off the cap. Just use gloves and a bucket to catch the black water that has seeped past, attach the temporary valve and go. Its a temporary fix until you can repair the one that is supposed to work. Any camping supply store should have one. My new FW had a grey tank valve that would not close all the way. I picked up an add on valve to avoid a shower when trying to dump. After using the add on valve 1 time there was enough water in the holding tank to free whatever was causing it to stick. May not be as lucky with a black tank but certainly does not hurt to try.Re: Bunk house conundrum and older kidsI has a similar issue where I wanted the rear living area but still had a need for a small bunk room. I found the Grand Design Reflection 31MB (mid-bunk) to work perfectly for us. I have no issues with pin weight, it provides ample room for the family and provides for a separate sleeping area for the kids.Re: Andersen Hitch questionsI have 6" of bed rail clearance with the ball dropped to the lowest setting. Not sure of I can actually get to 90 degrees but thinking I could get pretty close in a pinch. FW is level while towing and have never had to use blocks to unhitch. So far have been very happy with the AU hitch.
