We’ve been there once, but many years ago with a much smaller camper. I do believe, especially after looking at photos online that Pirateland has larger sites than Ocean Lakes. Again, thanks you all! CraigMyrtle Beach with Large 5th WheelHey all, its been a while since I’ve posted. We got ourselves a new Fifth Wheel last year and really enjoying it. I’m actually curious what campgrounds in Myrtle Beach are best for large rigs, like a 42’ Fiver. We are looking for a campground right on the beach where we can easily walk from campsite to the beach and back. Thank you in advance for any feedback from experience!!Re: Air conditioning in new 5th WheelThank you all. FWIW, we have a 41' five with 4 slides. 15k ac unit in the living area and a 13.5k unit in the front bedroom.Re: Air conditioning in new 5th WheelThanks for your response. We have been here overnight already. It does seem like the air is coming out cool. Just not cooling the unit down during the day.Air conditioning in new 5th WheelHi all, just curious about air conditioners on a brand new unit. I took delivery of a new 2021 Grand Design Reflection fifth wheel. We are out on the maiden voyage and it seems the air conditioners are not keeping up. Is it normal to have a new unit with dual ac units for it not to keep up. Its 93 outside, and 83 I side but the ac is set to 73. As always, thank you in advance for the assistance!Fifth Wheels with Long bed truck coverHello all. I am pretty excited after several years of waiting I am finally upgrading to a 5th wheel. Two years ago I purchased the truck that would accept our 5th Wheel, so I am ready to go. Question is - I have a long bed Ram 3500. Currently has a quad fold bed cover on it. Do i have to remove the entire thing to pull the 5th wheel? What do the rest of you all do in this case? Thanks in advance! CraigCamping in the MidwestHey all. Random question here. I've been approached by a potential employer about relocating to Northern Indiana, around the Elkhart area. I've lived in the Southeast for most of my adult life and absolutely love the location where I currently reside in SC. I'm just a few hours to the beach, and a few hours to Gatlinburg. We do a lot of long weekend camping trips in TN, SC and NC. My question is - what are my options for long weekend camping within a few hours of the Elkhart area. Thanks in advance.Re: RV BlindsWhat I am finding out is that most manufactures are looking simply at price. Most of the current products are maid in China and are plastic and very inexpensive. Is there a price threshold that would keep all of you from buying product that was built NOT to break or fall apart? Currently I represent a company that produces HIGH quality blinds, window treatments, but the RV industry through OEMs cannot justify the cost of higher quality blinds. Thanks for all the input, keep them coming!!!!RV BlindsHey all. It's been a while since I've posted in here. I have been an RVer all of my life and absolutely love the RV lifestyle. I currently work for a large supplier of accessories for the RV industry and love working around RVs as much as I love being in them. I have a question for everyone in this group. What if anything would you like see differently regarding your RV blinds, or window treatments? Do you currently have any issues with your blinds? Is there a unique feature that you'd like developed for future product improvements? Looking to possibly pick up on real life experiences and suggestions from this group if I can. Thanks in advance! CraigRam 3500 DRW expert adviceHey all. I am excited to say that I am ready to buy a new truck and looking mainly at Ram duallies. I currently don't need the dually, but would like to purchase something now to possibly upgrade to a toy hauler 5th wheel in the near future. I am looking at a larger unit, roughly 15,000 pounds. My question is if I look at tow ratings, it states around 16,000 pounds for a 2016 ram 3500 LB CC DRW with a 3 42 ratio. Is it different for fifth wheel towing? Where I'm looking just shows towing in general. Thanks in advance.
