Initially we were put in one of the back in sights next to the big wall on the east side of the park. One night was enough there so we asked to move and they really went out of their way to find another spot for us. Was going to try there for Thanksgiving this year but they couldn't accommodate us for our entire stay.Re: Does Consumer Cellular include a hot spot? One of our phones is on Consumer Cellular. It's a good deal. The phone is a low end Android and we occasionally use the hotspot feature on it. If you go over your plan amount of data CC automatically upgrades you to the next level instead of nickle/dimeing you for over use. We cover the waterfront, one phone on ATT (Consumer Cellular) one phone on Visible (Verizon) and a T-mobile/Sprint Hotspot. Unless you're boondocking somewhere really remote, usually one of the services works.Re: Fiesta Key Construction?James/Lori, thanks, that's good to hear. We've stayed at many Encore/TT parks and find many of them like you describe. Of course there have been a few that are not that way. We have always gone on down the road to Sunshine Key and like it there but wanted to stay a little farther up the road this time.Re: Fiesta Key Construction?I did. They say no problem but seriously do you really think they would tell me to take my money elsewhere?Fiesta Key Construction?Anyone at or been to Fiesta Key RV Park lately? Their website says they are doing some construction. Wanting to go there soon and wondering if there's any disruption due to the project or is it not an issue? Thanks for any first hand update.Re: Mount Holley area campgrounds? Not sure where in the Mt Holly area you'll be but you're right, not much around there. Looking at the list from RV Park Reviews, some of those parks are not very desirable locations and on the east side of Charlotte - Mt Holly is on the west side. We have stayed at Lake Norman MotorCoach "Resort" several times but they are now too expensive for my preference. You can also check out the campground at Charlotte Motor Speedway. While it's on the east side of Charlotte, it is close to I485 which will get you over to Hwy 27 and to Mt Holly area. There are several other CGs close to both those that I don't have personal experience with but have ok reviews. There's a cluster of them right around the speedway and this years NASCAR race is over so shouldn't be a problem getting in one of them. Not sure how long you are planning to stay but maybe try one of the higher rated ones for a few nights and check out some of the others to see if you want to move. Some may recommend the CG at Carowinds or Ebenezer Park in Rock Hill SC but with traffic and the only access to the north is I77 and I don't think you'll want to deal with that. Hope this helps.Re: Campground in Wilmington NCTodd, not sure how far away is too far for you but there are several places south on Hwy 17 near the Shallotte area about 45 minutes away from the Wilmington river front. We have stayed at Brunswick Beaches Camping Resort about half mile off US 17 in that area and it suits us fine, but we don't usually go all the way up to Wilmington.Re: Suggestions on where to camp in/or near Charlotte NCOP...where did you end up staying?Re: Fall Line FreewayThanks Bob.. confirms my google capabilities. Anyone have any first hand (local) regarding conditions in the construction zone on the leg of the freeway east of Milledgeville?Fall Line FreewayDoes anyone on this forum know if the Fall Line Freeway - Milledgeville Bypass is completely open now? What about the leg east of there on Hwy 24?
