Where do you find Brylcreem? I never saw it again. My uncles used it in the late 70s. I can never remember to grease the ball. I got it at WalMart. Have for the last several years. It is tucked away next to the Groom n clean. I just did a good grease job on the ball and hitch. It should cut down on the noise and the wear.Re: Grease on the ball? Grease it is, then.Grease on the ball?A friend we camp with always puts grease on his trailer ball. He says I should do it as well. Is this a good idea?Re: Husky Centerline TS hitch issueThe first time I took the bars off was in my driveway which is neither flat nor level. Like yours, my truck was in an uphill position. It was scary. I drive to a side road or the church parking lot a mile away to take them off and put them on. Later this year I will have a permanent and level place for the trailer.Re: Husky Centerline TS hitch issueI have the same one. Only used it for four trips. So far, so good. Did the bars pop off? Was it at some odd angle, meaning the truck and trailer made some kind of wide "V" at the hitch?Re: Television for RV use.We bought a 43" Samsung LED TV. It sits on the shelf next to the slideout. I route the sound through the built in speakers in the trailer ceiling via a DVD player and a connector I made. I take the TV off and lay it face down on the bed when we travel. I've only done this twice so I can't comment on how well this will work out long term.Re: Black Tank Capacity? One more thing. Unless I'm understanding wrong, the tanks are mislabeled on the outside. The gate that says "Body Waste" is the gray tank. The one that says "Liquid Waste" is the black tank. Of that I'm sure.Re: Black Tank Capacity?I measured going in, three gallons at a time, doing a visual inspection of the water level after each bucket full. The specs say 40, but I can only put 20 in it before it will overflow into the trailer. And, as gross as it sounds, I measured the volume of what came out. It had been flushed a bunch of times, so it wasn't too yucky. The reason I'm doing all this is because on our first campout, the black tank filled up after only day of use and I had to visit the dump site. I took it back to the dealer and they said it seemed to have had some old stuff in it, but was now flushed out, however, it appears to only hold 1/2 of what the specs say. Being new to this, I'm not sure what to do next.Black Tank Capacity?I have a used Trail Bay 27DS, 2007 model. I can only put 20 gallons in the black tank before it is full. I thought the black, gray and fresh tanks were all 40 gallons. Am I incorrect or is my trailer somehow different than some brochures I found. If it really is 20 gallons, how easy is it to put in a 40 gal tank?
