I guess we still live in a world where we don't leave it nicer than we found it. with all the water way contamination and water born illness it seems illogical to still promote such crude devices when the presence of sanitation solution is already available. no green sense on so many levels. far as pop ups.. that's why they arnt invited/allowed to most parks these days What toxic chemicals are you washing down your outside sink drain?Sisters, OR to Boise, IDWe are doing a trip to the Oregon coast next week, and return travel plans have us overnighting in Sisters, OR. We are at a crossroads as to what way we will take back to Boise. Staying on state Highway 20 would take us through Bend, Burns and Vale and back into Idaho. However, we could scoot over to Highway 26 and go Redmond, John Day to Vale. Any of you guys driver either of these routes? We have the ability to add another night to the trip, so we are considering either a night in Burns or a night in the John Day area, depending on the route. I appreciate any input you guys might have. Matt:)Re: wd spring bar problemSo your problem is sway when you don't have your "buggy" in the back? Do you have any kind of sway control. Maybe a sway bar is needed. Or, when you don't have the buggy, you could fill your fresh water tank to give you some extra weight/ballast. If they are throwing some of these items to make the deal, then its not a bad idea. However, "rolling" these add-ons into the loan might not be the best approach. I know it means you don't have to pay for them right now, but the overall cost of financing these add-ons over time might not make sense financially. It is important to understand that the minute your trailer rolls off the lot, it will lose significant value. The add-ons will never "add" the same amount of value to your camper for resale that you will pay over time financing it. From what you describe from your intended travels (and based on my own experience starting small and then going big), I think you might realize down the road in a year or two that a bigger trailer will be in order. Its very easy to find yourself upside down (unless you are making a big down payment and I missed that somewhere). It sounds like you have some fun trips planned. What tow vehicle are you using? MattRe: Dometic Fridge issues, why no cold?Another tip is to precool the food you are putting in the fridge. If you are putting warm items in, it takes a while to cool them down again. We usually pack anything that will go in the camper fridge in our cooler or house fridge the day before. We also have one of those little battery operated circulation fans inside the fridge that makes a big difference.
