Any Help would be appreciated.Cleaning the outside of the 5'er do to oxidationDoes anyone know if using a "Pressure Washer" would be ok to clean the exterior of our 5'er ? It has a moderate amount of oxidation due to sitting. Hubby as already removed the old decals and is thinking about painting "New Ones" on once its cleaned. Any help would be appreciated.Cleaning the outside of the 5'erI have removed 98% of the worn and cracked decals of our Montana 5'er, the oxidation is pretty bad. I was thinking using Meguires Marine wax and oxixdation remover for boats. I contacted Keystone and they said the sides were indeed fiberglass. So I think it would be ok and work on restoring the shine. Any thoughts on the matter would be appreciated.Re: King pin lockWe have one and normally only use it when in long time winter storage.Carpet Replacement...Our 5'er is 10 yrs old and the carpet is showing its age, and recently have had 2 burn marks thanks to an electric heater. How do we go about finding and replacing the carpet ?? The carpet in the 3 slides are ok, just the "Main" carpet area that needs to be replaced. My wife is also thinking about just removing it and replacing it with a laminated floor rather than carpet. Would this be better ?? Any help would be appreciated.Re: Heated hoseWe just use a regular hose... Hubby uses "Heat Strip / Tape" then covers it with foam pipe insulation. Our neighbor uses hollow pool noodles as insulation. Happy Camping !!Re: Newer 5ers, Slider Hitch Required For Short Beds? After loosing 2 yes 2 back windows, we went with a slider hitch.. have had NO problems. When in doubt we engage the slider.
