All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: New MexicoWe were in Carlsbad, NM in May. We stayed at the Carlsbad RV Park - which I think was formerly KOA. We called on Friday and made reservations for Sunday-Monday. Most of the sites are occupied by the workers, but there were several available for short-term stays. Very nice park. It was several miles from the Caverns, but I think it was the better option as far as campgrounds were concerned. At the Caverns, the elevators were working when we were there. Actually, an elevator technician rode it with us when we went down. Said they were working on another one. If you happen to need a campsite near Albuquerque, we stayed at the Happy Trails RV Park in Moriarty, NM. They are new owners and are doing a great job to make it a great stop for us RVers. It is east of Albuquerque just off I-40. Happy Travels!!Re: overnighter in/around Valdosta GAJust wondering how things are in Wauchula, FL. We have wintered there in the past - Little Charlie Creek RV Resort. Hopefully, since you're heading there, things are up and running.Re: Ocean Lakes Family Campground - HOLY GOLF CARTS!!!!!!We stayed here once a few years back and the golf cart situation was awful then. Can only imagine it has not improved. We prefer the Travel Park in North Myrtle Beach.Re: rv stop west of atlanta on hwy20On our return from our trip "out west" last summer, we stopped at the Big Oaks RV Park. Easy on/off of I-20. It's about 1 hour west of Atlanta. This is a small, neat little campground. Staff is very friendly. Cash only (when we were there). We have stayed here twice on our return through that area.Re: James Island County Park fatalitySounds like they were visiting the Spray Play Sprinkler area. Did not mention they were campers.http://counton2.com/2016/05/14/police-search-for-missing-child-at-charleston-county-park/Re: Day 2!Just curious - where near Charlotte are you staying? We live in NC and haven't been that way in years. Happy Travels!Re: We Have Lift off!!!Safe travels to you! Keep us posted on where the 7000 miles takes you. Enjoy!!Re: Places to see in the SoutheastSoutheast USA is filled with history and beauty. Just a quick Google search will yield tons of info. NC and the OBX, as well as the historic coastal towns of New Bern and Beaufort; SC filled with history at Savannah, Charleston; GA with its Stone Mountain and Atlanta, which is itself filled with history; and while in AL, don't miss the USS Alabama. Enjoy!Re: So cheap it's sad..........Just wondering if this is water damage?? Re: SC TravelNeed to check out www.SCDOT.org - NOT .com.
