A great many of us have self propelled RV's (truck campers or motorhomes) therefore in our case there are no "tow vehicles" involved.Re: Propane RefillsIt seems that we are discussing both volume (5 GAL of space in a standard DOT tank) and weight (approx. 20 LBS LPG in a standard DOT tank). You should get about 20 lbs in a tank which makes the tank 80% full or about 4 gallons. The mix of propane/butane can vary which slightly affects the weight of a given volume of the liquified gas.Re: 12 volt issue?My2022 Northern Lite truck camper came with a 12 volt TV. Also a 12 volt DVD player. It works great. Don't need an inverter now just to watch TV or a DVD movie.Re: Flying J RV discount CardI haven't fueled in a truck stop for years. Their prices for diesel are always notably higher than local service stations.Re: heat and Li batteries.Lithium iron phosphate batteries are lithium ion batteries. Same thing. The iron and phosphate are in the form of ions.Re: New to truck camping ...You might try the following websites: campendium rv parky the dyrt.com SYKR ioverlander.com BLM.gov freecampsites.net rvdumpsites gasbuddy Florida State parksRe: Season soon to end - putting RV into storageDo not leave windows/vents open in Florida. I speak from experience. Florida air is so humid that you'll come back to a mold disaster. Keep it closed up with as much Damp Rid as you can manage.Re: Mopkka tank SensorsI have a truck camper with difficult to remove DOT tanks. They are so high off the ground that I have to carry a step ladder to reach them. That is the reason I installed the Mopeta sensors but Their batteries are so short lived that they are pretty much useless for me. It's a huge job to remove both tanks just to replace batteries. I no longer use those sensors. When the first tank runs out I switch to the other tank and I know it's time for a refill. Thumbs down on Mopeta.Re: Lithium Battery heaterMajor brands of Lifepo4 batteries are available with internally heated models (eg. Battle born, Lithionics). If you're doing an initial setup, this would be the way to go.Re: folding utility trailerRediculous, You need a second trailer to carry all those pieces of sidewall.
