My question is is that a 2 or 4 lane and how curvy is that route? She really slows down on inclines. Any info appreciated.Re: ERS isn't the same as it used to be.GSERS has a contract with Goodyear to use their service centers. Don't know about anywhere else but in my town that is the highest place around to have any kind of work done. Also, don't like Gdy tires. When we needed GSERS we didn't have a choice of tires. Gdy or she would "try" to find a tire that size somewhere else on a Sunday afternoon.Re: Good Sams ERS=Ridiculous!!!!$163 must be the going rate for labor. We had a new tire but needed it mounted on rim and on the coach (in our driveway). Goodyear Service Center came from about 40 miles away. GS took credit card info and said they were charging $130 for labor. Ended up being $163 plus $13 in parts. GS did credit $100 to CC. Don't understand why labor is so high when $35 to mount to rim at store. Don't start about the cost of the truck and the convenience. Has been my experience GY Service is about the highest place in town to do business.Re: First time not satisfied with ERSThat seems to be SOP. You never know what the charges are for. Give an itemized receipt! Last 2 times we called the charges were high in my opinion. Each time we got a partial refund "out of courtesy." If they keep refunding how are they staying afloat. If one didn't know better(?) one might think GSER is making a little on the side. Caller ID said my call was from Allstate Ins and the service order I signed was billed to Signature Motor Club.Re: Charge for mounting tire to rimWell, I just received a call from GSER(caller ID says Allstate Ins. Co.)I guess all road service is the same company! I was charged $182.82 for parts and labor. Was told "parts" was NOT itemized but was $13.00. How do I know I got "parts?" I have requested a receipt and should be getting one.(I hope)So that means the labor was $169 +/-. That to me seems a little steep. The gentleman that called agreed and said he would refer this on to his supervisors that maybe itemized receipts should be submitted. Never known of any company paying a bill without an itemized statement. I know we didn't when I was office manager. I do not like a charge put on my credit card with out knowing EXACTLY what it is for. Does anyone else feel that way?Out of "courtesy" GSER is crediting my account $100 which I greatly appreciate. When I inquired if that meant the provider would not get the billed amount I was told "we" will absorbe the refund. ?? He said he would call me back when he found out more. The provider was here less than one hour and my husband says he did place a valve stem. Still need receipt. BTW.....charges were billed to Signature Motor Club, North Brook, IL. I guess it doesn't matter which road service you have. It's all the same!Re: Charge for mounting tire to rimThank you. I look forward to receiving the answers to my questions.Re: Charge for mounting tire to rimGood Sam: I don't have a problem with paying labor costs. Please understand that. I do have a problem with $130 charge. I would just like to know why so high. I have had questions in the past and I still do not have answers. THAT is what I am saying. No one I have talked to within GSER has been able to answer the questions. The rep that called for me to renew told me one thing and then after reading the brochure he contradicted what he had just said. He stated he had been doing this for years and had never noticed the labor charge on a tire mounting. All I am saying is GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER and tell everyone the same thing. I just want my questions answered and an itemized statement for services renderred in a timely manner.Re: Anyone using Ocean Canyon Properties? We also are members of Mountain Lakes Resort. Can't get there as often as we would like. When we purchased we got a membership in ROD. We were told we could camp at the CGs in the book for $0. We quickly found this to be false. About 2 months ago we got a call from sales office at Mountain Lakes and asked us to come in for a chat. They wanted to see if we were happy with our membership. NOT! They tried to sell us an upgrade and membership in C2C for another $6000+. The sales rep was supposedly the owner's son. He told us there was a closing on a property in Pigeon Forge and another one I don't remember. We turned town the "upgrade" Didn't know until that day that there were different memberships for our home CG. Went to Gulf Shores Camping World. Met a salesman from there. Surprise!! He knew nothing about Pigeon Forge. Two new parks Indiana and NC, he thought. We are members but leary of what is to come with our home park. Found out the origional salesman, Gary, lied through his teeth. We do like the CG though.(Mountain Lakes) Long story short.....don't believe all they tell you.Re: Charge for mounting tire to rimGood Sam Care Team: What you have stated is NOT how it was relayed to me. The gentleman on the phone plainly said there was a $130 charge for mounting the tire to the rim and he needed a credit card # to do that. Everyone seems to have different answers to same questions. I think that is where the confusion comes in. Explain what is being charged and exactly for what! All of your reps need the SAME training because I get different answers. Again, I have questions with no answers.Re: Charge for mounting tire to rimI understand what all are saying. However, the flat was in my driveway. GSER uses Goodyear service centers which I am NOT crazy about. The provider came from 40 miles away(smaller town than mine). OK maybe my town service center does not have a truck(I know they used to). I am not complaining about the mounting fee itself I am complaining about the amount. In the past when we had a blowout the service provider would call us direct after GSER contacted them and any charges would be paid to the service provider. I have a problem charges made to GSER without having an itemized receipt. Two years ago we had a blowout on Sunday afternoon on a busy interstate. That is when I found out about the contract with Goodyear. I do not use Goodyear for personal reasons. We are retired from Goodyear. The charges were put on my CC and it included a $125 disposal fee. No one with GSER has ever been able to tell me why. I did get a refund because I was told I was charged too much for the tire. I have questions with no answers. Yesterday a rep. called for me to renew my membership. While talking with the gentleman he tells me I should not have been charged anything. GSER pays for the service call. Then he tells me I have to pay all labor charges. Ok, no problem. My problem is The provider himself told me $35 but GSER charged $130. I would like to know why the difference. That is my question. Up until 3 years ago we paid GSER nothing. Any charges were paid to the provider. Just have questions.
