Left Southern Ontario on June 1, Got asked to leave the Province of Quebec on June 6. They were evacuating anyone working in any forested area of the Province, and campgrounds were closing. We were looking at the dam at Radisson when Hydro Quebec security came up beside us to ask what we were doing there. That is when we found out about the forest fires. We couldn't finish off our planned route and headed back south. We only encountered smoky conditions one night. When we got back to the check in point at the start of the James Bay road, there was a Securite de Quebec cruiser with two officers turning away people wanting to go north. We enjoyed the short time we had there. BrianRe: Truck SiriusXM satellite radio antenna.I tried those magnet mount antennae. Did NOT work on my 2014 Chev. I tried 3 of them. I bought this and I am getting about 3 years of use. I have a piece of aluminum flat stock, that I drilled a hole in to fit the antenna, then fastened to truck by removing a bolt and then replacing it holding the flat stock in place. BrianRe: rear-view cameraI have the Camera Source camera on the Bigfoot. I bought the salt spreader version. It has all the wiring to attach right to the truck harness. GM plugs to an aircraft connector with a threaded locking system, to a 10 foot extension, to the camera, which I mounted above the door of the camper. This is on a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado with the OEM tailgate camera. They had the same thing for Ram. BrianRe: I am completely defeatedTry washing your hands with some of the lemon juice, that may cut the bad stuff. Next thing I would try would be dish soap. Then on to mechanic type hand cleaner degreaser. Maybe even try hydrogen peroxide. (The stuff you need around for when Tully finds a cute friend of the skunk variety!) Good luck, both with the dog and your hands BrianRe: BittersweetWell that is crappy. I know exactly what you are going through, as we looked at Class A and Class C about 4 years ago. Still have the camper and use stools to make steps shorter, but she still loves the camper, so I am in charge of making it work for us. She is in line for two new knees, but Ontario just put another hold on elective surgeries, so who knows when the new knees are going to be installed. Next it will be supply chain issues for replacement parts! Your wife could try cortisone shots many people have had luck with them. My wife's surgeon said not to do them because of fear of infection before surgery. Sad that you will be losing your labour of love. Good luck in your search. BrianRe: Key broke off inside front door lock on travel trailerI've had good luck using a crochet hook to catch part of the key still in the lock. My wife hasn't missed the one I took out of her set about 35 years ago. If she wants it it is in the tool box in the truck.Re: Pushing a TT into position from the rear bumper...?What about renting a skid steer or a tractor? I'm thinking somehow add a ball to the bucket or fork, and lifting the tongue to maneuver the trailer into position. You might already be renting the equipment to prepare the site. BrianRe: XM antenna clearanceNo, I left the shark fin on the roof, and added another XM antenna. I had no luck with the magnetic XM antennae, so I went with one that I had to fab a bracket for. This is what I used. https://www.amazon.ca/BROWNING-WSPBRTRUCKER-Satellite-Trucker-Mirror-Mount/dp/B00B94N044/ref=sr_1_11?crid=3LCGNH3LT08AE&dchild=1&keywords=xm+antenna&qid=1616899295&sprefix=xm+%2Caps%2C193&sr=8-11 This is from Amazon Canada, but I am sure the US site will have something similar.Re: XM antenna clearanceI have clearance for the XM antenna, but I had to put a sheet of 3/4" plywood in the box of my 2014 Chev 3500 for the Bigfoot to clear the bed rails. I also relocated the XM antenna to the front of the truck so it wasn't shadowed by the camper. BrianRe: Need a TransporterOne of the members here had a similar problem. He rented a dump truck from Home Depot ( I think it was). Loaded it on and tied it down with some heavy duty ratchet straps. I don't think he was travelling as far as you need to, but it may be an option. Hopefully he will be along shortly to better address your question. Brian
