I decided on the Rob State Park, and I believe my husband will be happy with the maneuverability of the campground when towing the fifth wheel. VikkitennisRe: campgrounds at Grand Junction/Colorado National MomumentThank you to all the fellow rvers, who responded about the parks in or around Grand Junction Colorado. I will now research the two top, which was the RV Ranch and the James /w. Robb Colorado State Par, with also the Momument Rv Park. Happy RVing.campgrounds at Grand Junction/Colorado National MomumentHello Rvers, My husband and I are camping in Grand Junction/Colorado National Momument area. We have a fifth wheel, about 36 feet, and my husband becomes a bit nervous when backing into sites or turning tight corners in a few of the campgrounds. The parks all appear to be nice in the area, and I am having difficulty choosing a park. We prefer full hookups, but electric only is fine. Any thoughts out there. Thank you for your time and advice.Re: camping in Ventura, CAI thank all of you. I will look into the city park, and at their website. I believe the private RV parks are getting too pricey. The SB is the way to go, as we like Seacliff SB in Santa Cruz. Paso Robles has two very nice RV parks, and one is not that badly priced. I will let all of you know of my action, but once again, I appreciate your help and assistance. VikkitennisRe: camping in Ventura, CAThank you once again for your suggestions. I will look into all of them. This site is such a valuable source. VikkitennisRe: camping in Ventura, CAGosh, Thank you for your support and help. My first choice is the State Beaches, and I do know it is first come, first serve, but we can try. If there are any other tips, please come forward. VikkitennisRe: camping in Ventura, CAThank you very much for your replies. I will talk with Keith about our options. I appreciate your input greatly. We stayed at the Ventura RV Beach Resort in 2007, and management was terrible. I have looked long and hard for other RV campgrounds, and I do like the beaches. We are looking in January 2016 for two weeks. Any advice or help, please?Re: @013 Winnebago Sunnybrook Raven 345REThank you everyone for your advice and support. Just today, as we towed it home from a one-night stay, two drivers notified us about the RV brakes smoking. We found the wire was detached somehow and someway. We will bring it in this week as we were using the brakes of the diesel 3/4 ton pickup to brake, and have no idea when the wire became disengaged. Another item to be brought in.
