I've never killed a horse yet.:-) These fences are not like an electric chair...they don't kill. I've touched one many times, got a jolt, but lived to tell the story. Dogs, kids, deer and I'm sure other critters have run into them...they live. In an open field if they are not seen, an animal could tear up the fence...never seen one with the wire snapped. Around a small trailer it sure would surprise Mr. Bear. Keeps horses and most cows contained. Never heard of a death or law suit from an electric fence.Re: Heading southI'm interested in why water in the tanks, if not full, would be a big problem. I realize that the water will expand if frozen but certainly there is enough space for that expansion. Kinda like an ice tray... they don't crack. Now if the water freezes in the potable tank it will not pump, but how will it harm the tank? As long as it is not in the pipes what harm can be done?Re: Izzys pacemaker surgerySending good Vibes for Izzy.Re: Code 14 on LPG ONAN 5500 - stops on disconnecting loadJ-D he said it was an Onan Marquis Gold 5500.Re: Favorite LED Lantern for Campsites ?My absolute favorite. I love them. Mine were female and did not drool. You will never be lonely in the bathroom again! They stick tighter than a tick. Of course all dogs have their own personality but almost everyone I have had contact with are very loving. Congratulations.Re: Anyone have their pet on supplements ?10 Years ago my 7 yo Great Dane was suffering from 'age related getting up problems'. I put her on Wal-Mart brand Glucosamine, Condroitin, MSM. After 6 Weeks the improvments were amazing. When she died she was still running like a pup. I now have smaller dogs a 10 yo beagle/golden and 2 5yo Chinese Crested they have all been on Phycox for several years. I'm trying to be proactive.Re: PET ID suggestionsLate to the party...again. Does no one put their rabies tags on collars anymore? I get at least one call a month asking to locate a found pet by our rabies tag. Our tags have our name, address and telephone number along with the tag number. I'm fairly certain that this is universial. Although I can't give the owner info to the caller - we relay info and make sure everyone is reunited. The S clips are much stronger than the O rings. I have lost some tags by mistakenly attaching leash to O ring, they are not that strong.Re: Xmas puppy ***Picture Update***One of our clients has Bloodhounds she trains and *shows*. Hers are not exceptionally friendly but then they are workings dogs. She always brings her dogs in for gastropexy (stomach tacking) but I can not think of any health issues she has with them. They do drool (gooey, thick and long) which I would find unappealing in a companion animal. They would seem to be a strange choice for an inside pet for a child.
