I haven't got the manuals yet and don't understand how the leveling is accomplished. The coach has a leveling panel next to the drivers seat, left side, that will automatically level the coach when parked at a camp site. How is this accomplished? Do the hydraulic jacks come down and level the coach or are the airbags somehow involved? It could be either or both. If you have the coach ID number call REV/American Coach tech support and they can tell you what specifically is on the coach.Re: How expensive to replace the slide out awning fabric? smlranger wrote: Absolutely best replacement topper material is available from Stone Vos in Brooksville, FL. Many folks also recommend Tough Tops for slide topper replacement. Regardless of where you get the material, it is not hard to R & R. As noted, you need a couple of good ladders and a second person if the toppers are long. There are a number of You Tube videos showing the process. X2 on Stone Vos. Chris is the owner and is a fellow coach owner. He is really a perfectionist and only uses the best fabric and thread. Call him with your topper measurements & he will give you a price.Re: Cummins ISL Oil recommendation wolfe10 wrote: Many reasonable choices. Shell Rotella T 15-40 and Delo 400 15-40 are popular choices and are available at Walmarts, etc. You will not wear out that engine in an RV, so worrying about whether a special (read that expensive) oil extends engine life from 800,000 miles to 1 million miles is not really relevant. If you have some special circumstance such as pulling a 10,000 pound trailer through the mountains in the summer, that may warrant other considerations. Brett, is, of course, correct. The spec too look for is CJ4 and the two called out meet that spec.Re: ( SOLVED) Generator slide out not sliding out Tinstar wrote: Just FYI, I've posted this on another "coach specific" forum and may be able to solve my problem from potential answers form them. I haven't crawled under there yet since I spent the day cleaning up my roof top A/C units. I may be able to look tomorrow so does anyone have ideas on what I should be looking for? On my "new to me" 2002 Monaco Windsor, the 7500 Onan genset is on a slide in the front. I went out to exercise the genset today and thought I would slide it out, just to see what all kind of stuff is in there. I pressed the genset slide button but nothing happened. I know it has worked in the past. I tested it when I bought it and again once after I got it home. I tried the switch both directions. I can hear the motor running but the slide isn't coming out. Is there anything I need to do before the slide extends? I'm still trying to learn the in's and out's of this motorhome and there is a lot more to it as opposed to my '94 Allegro Bus. BTW and just FYI, I was able to exercise the generator. It cranks up and runs like a charm. If you are parked with your slides out, you might be low on fluid. The HWH reservoir is up in the area below the step well. If you have a small storage bin under a step, if you take the fasteners out & lift out the bin, you will be looking down at the pump and reservoir. Also, you might "snug up" the valves on the side of the pump. There is an in & out valve for each slide function. The out valve for the gen slide might be somewhat open. Any help or ideas are appreciated. Re: Pilot Flying J question sch911 wrote: I recommend the Pilot Flying J RV Plus Card. Provides a discount on fuel. And, turns on the truck diesel pumps for us DP owners too. x3! Use Pilot/FJ regularly. I almost always use the truck lanes and occasionally overnight there. Sometimes up front if an RV space is available but usually back with the trucks. The Card is easy to use and provides auto pump start.Re: Freightliner XC Leaf Spring Susp or Rigid Front Axle? Discovery8 wrote: How do I find out if I have a leaf spring susp or rigid front axle on my Freightliner XC Chassis? Called Freightliner, but no help. 2001 Fleetwood Discovery 37 330 HP CAT Freightliner XC 30,000 miles Here is your owners manual: http://fleetwoodrv.com/partsandservice/manuals/2001_DISCOVERY.pdf Page 03-31 stated your motorhome has air suspension. I didn't look for your front axle but I'm sure that it's a straight I beam front axle. Most motorhomes were in '01.Re: UVW AND NCC OF 2011 MONACO CAMELOT 43DFT 3882DOUG wrote: Anyone able to help me out on the UVW and the NCC of this coach? Checked the Monaco brochure and did not see it. Trying to figure out if this coach makes my short list to buy. You can get the most accurate numbers by calling Monaco tech support with the coach number. They can email you the weight sheet.Re: Fiberglass Roof Maintenance werni9 wrote: My 2000 Winnebago Ultimate Advantage has a roof that I would love to know how to clean well and put a coating or whatever on it to protect it better. If a light rubbing compound is needed, no problem. I will do all the work myself. Roof is in good condition, no spider cracking or evidence of failing areas. I have noticed the last 2 years there will be a 10" to 14" slight hump show up here and there. They will run side to side and you must get down to see them. They raise no more than an 3/4 " high. I have chased some leaks by the J Channel and cap with success. Eternabond Tape is well worth the investment. Thanks for reading. Looking for any ideas on the humps. Looking for advice on restoring a the luster back into the fiberglass roof. You've all helped me so much so far.....Thanks. A Mr Clean Magic Eraser on a sponge mop will do a great job with minimum elbow grease. Some owners use a couple of coats of "Mop & Glow for protection. Repeat annually.Re: Class A Diesel Pusher PSUJIM85 wrote: I am seeking some advice on buying a New Coach. I am stepping up to a class A from a truck camper. I tailgate and like to destination camp and see the sites. I am sold on a Newmar Dutch Star 4369 but also saw American coaches by fleetwood. What is the opinion out there on American? Prices seemed lower, but the pictures of the fit and finish were fantastic and the looked well laid out. Any advice to anyone who has owned either one or has spent time in them? The parent company of American Coach, ARG, is in the process of developing regional service centers in the US and Canada as another resource to aid owners with service or warrantee issues. This, along with their push for QC should make the ARG family of coaches very attractive.Re: Acrylic Slide Topper? What do you think? Worth it? smlranger wrote: Contact Chris at Stonevos.com. He will make slide toppers from your measurements from a very durable Sunbrella-like acrylic material from Sattler. Check his website for the specifics of why he selected the particular material he uses. He can match any color and double stitches all seams. X2 on this post. Current production of Sunbrella fabric and the thread the toppers are stitched with will fail in just a very few years. Chris uses the best fabrics and thread and his toppers are very well made. Chris is also a coach owner.
