One thing's for sure, if it was tight navigating with the Tundra, it's going to be noticeably tighter with the Chevy. I'd suggest using a spotter. Nothing'll ruin your day more than jack-knifing your rig . . . or running over your neighbor's mailbox or nice, manicured lawn. Good luck. Re: Air Bags for Truck Campers Might want to check-out Torklift's upper and lower stableloads. Decrease sag, plus they work in conjunction with your leaf springs, so any sway issues should be minimized. Installed the stainless steel lower stableloads on our Ram 3500 SRW (hauling a 4k truck camper)---loved 'em. Re: 80 amp converter and eu2000i Although I haven't used the 9180 specifically, I have used a number of other Progressive Dynamic (PD) and PowerMax (PM) converters. The vast majority of these RV-type converters from PD, PM, etc. have very similar efficiency. I'd have to concur with "one guy" who said the 9180 would pull approx. 15a (1800w) while producing 80a. I used to own a PD9270 (70a) converter that pulled 13a (1560w). Your Honda 2000w is rated at 1600w (13.3a) of continuous current and 2000w (16.6a) for 30 min. Assuming your Honda is capable of producing its rated output, it should be able to power the 9180. However, it's going to be running absolutely flat-out and more. It won't like it. We have a Honda 2200 with a 15a continuous current rating (18.3a 30 min rating). We limit long-term loads to 13.3a. The Honda 2200 experiences a significant reduction in NVH when the load is reduced from 15a to ~13.3a. For what it's worth, after dealing with scenarios like yours for years, it was a breath of fresh-air to be able to program maximum charge current (and/or maximum input current) to match shore or generator capacity with our Victron Multiplus. The Multiplus charger is also dramatically efficient---I was stunned the first time we used our Honda 2200 to charge. We typically get ~95a of charge current bulk charging our 12v lifepo4 pack using only ~13.5a of 120vac. When we're on 20 - 30a shore power we usually see 115-118a of charge current using only ~16.6a of 120vac. Just a tad too large and heavy.Re: NuCamp T@B320 S vs. Little Guy Mini-MaxWent with a '23 T@B 320. Build quality and price won us over. Icing on the cake, it fits in our garage. Towed it home with our '23 Bronco. Towed great. 14 mpg at 65 mph. Re: NuCamp T@B320 S vs. Little Guy Mini-Max bgum wrote: We had a tab boondock and it was a way to small for us. Shower and toilet were nearly useless due to size. Everything worked fine but far too small and shape of teardrop made usable room even smaller. The minimax appears a little larger but not enough. We currently have a Airstream Bambi 16rb while not any longer has much more usable space and we can stand in both bath and rest of rv. Look at a small square rv and you will have more usable space and save some money. I hear ya; however, we're trying to keep our loaded weight below 3000 lbs. The T@B 320's dry weight is approx 2000 lbs., the Mini-Max approx. 2300 lbs. Compromises must be made. As for the small size of these units, we're fine with it. Interesting to note the shower area in the T@B 320 is actually a bit larger than the one in our NL 8-11 truck camper. We used the 8-11's shower often over the last 4+ years and were perfectly happy with it.Re: NuCamp T@B320 S vs. Little Guy Mini-Max Reisender wrote: Hi OTRfun. We don’t have the T@B320 but have a T@B400 with the Alde heat and hot water system . It is a 2022 model. We have camped roughly 110 days in it in the last 18 months and regularly use the Alde both on propane and electric. It has not had any problems and does a good job. We also haven’t had any problem with the AC unit but don’t use it much. The T@B has been trouble free after more than 22000 kilometres all over Canada and extensively in BC. Not a single glitch although the outside black moulding along the top pulled away a bit on top. I pushed it back in and it has been fine since then. Hope you find what you are looking for. Nice rig! Good to hear you've been happy with your T@B. According to NuCamp you have to flush the Alde glycol system every two years. Any idea what this would cost if not done DIY?NuCamp T@B320 S vs. Little Guy Mini-MaxBeen looking at the NuCamp T@B320 S and Little Guy Mini-Max teardrop travel trailers. They both seem to be competitive in terms of pricing and features; however, we have some concerns: The T@B 320 S gives us pause because of the Alde heating system and the so-called central air a/c system. Both are non-standard systems which would make warranty support, parts, replacement, and DIY maintenance more difficult. Also, not sure what to make of the 5 gal cassette toilet system . . . At first glance, the large acrylic window on the rear, middle of the Mini-Max seems like a cool feature. Unfortunately, we've heard reports of the 13.5 a/c having problems keeping it cool because of it. Typically, you can't close the shade on a large acrylic window without the risk of trapping heat and melting the plastic window enclosure. Is this true for the Mini-Max? Comments or opinions? Any input ref their overall reliability, quality, and general usability? Thanks!Re: Micro AirOops.Re: Honda EU3200 - 15k BTU AC Unit? 3 tons wrote: otrfun wrote: BTW, if you read any of my posts over the last few years (including the above three posts), I always make a point of referencing inrush current and LRA together (at least once) when discussing a/c compressors. I always do this to try and avoid any possible confusion. I assume you either missed it or you found it confusing? I wasn’t confused, nor was I pointing out your ‘well put’ post, just trying to add a finer point of clarity for what’s often the uninitiated in the audience… 3 tons Thanks for the clarification.
