The fan works great but the when you turn on the AC it does not get cold. It has not been used in over 6 months. One suggestions was the thermostat but we do not have a wall thermostat for the AC, we just have the unit on the ceiling where you turn it from warm (red) to cold (blue). We have not been able to find out if there is a thermostat part to replace. We were also told possibly a run capacitor so we bought one. We were shipped one with 40 MFD instead of our 60 MFD and the 40 did not work but when my husband took out the original capacitor, it did not look blown or bulging, etc. We are sending back the other capacitor to see if the correct one (60 MFD) will make a difference or not. We are hoping it is not the compressor with it being only 2 years old. We were also told we could have a home HVAC person come look at it but in calling around, we cannot find one that will work on camper units. Hate to take it to an RV dealer due to cost. Any more suggestions? P.S. How do you attach a picture? There is another capacitor but smaller than is oval in shape to the right of the capacitor that we don't know what it is. I was trying to attach a pic of it.Roof WeightOur travel trailer is a 2014 Keystone Summerland and 26 foot long. I want to get on the roof to check my AC unit and want to know what the weight limit is for being up on the roof. I have emailed Keystone but they have not replied. Thanks!Re: Separate TT policy vs liabitlity on auto ins policy?Ok. I asked the agent my questions and here is what she said (which does not quite jive with me so we might stick with our Progressive policy): "Any physical damage to the trailer regardless of the source will be covered by the trailer policy. That means if it is being towed and is wrecked, if it is stolen, if a tree falls on it, if it catches fire, etc. It does not matter if it is parked or is being towed. The liability coverage extends from the vehicle that is towing it so the trailer policy does not include any liability coverage. By liability, I mean that if you are involved in an at- fault accident where the trailer damages another car (say it is comes loose and strikes a car or another trailer) then your auto insurance policy would pay for any damages that the trailer caused to the other property. Any personal effects inside the trailer are covered by your renters policy. We do not offer that coverage and we do not offer "vacation liability". Our trailer policy covers any physical damage to the trailer and that is the extent of the coverage. There are no other provisions for any other coverage." Comments on this please.Re: Separate TT policy vs liabitlity on auto ins policy?Very informative answers. I will get back with the agent and bring up a lot of this. Thank you all! ShariSeparate TT policy vs liabitlity on auto ins policy? We bought our TT in March and have a Progressive policy on it (our auto policy, AAA, does not write for TT, only motorhomes). Our cars are with AAA because they are the cheapest & our renter's with Allstate because AAA does not write trailer or renters but now I am getting quotes to get it under one company. One company said our TT would be under it's own policy "the deductible of $500 and the value of the trailer at $17,199, the premium is $300 for the year. The liability for it would extend from the auto insurance so there is no additional fee." Now I don't want to say she doesn't know what she is talking about, but our policy w/Progressive just has everything in the trailer policy. Can anyone shed any light on this? Thanks! I do not know if there are cards/equipment/etc. that gives you wifi where you can't get it. Sorry if this is a dumb question - we are older & don't know all the new technology - LOL.) Hubby and I live on the Eastern Shore of Mobile, Alabama & am looking for a lakefront campground (lake not Gulf) within a 3-5 hour drive from home. Any suggestions in Alabama, Mississippi, or Georgia? We are looking for a campground with sites right on the water where we can fish from our site. Thank you!!!Re: Towing Vehicle................... My truck always goes to the Ford dealer, it was only a 3 months ago I had the diff oil changed and the engine oil changed 3 weeks ago, its looked after, so the truck will be going in for the seal to be changed in the next 2 weeks.
