The campground had three different lakes (no body contact), a pool/spa, playground, mini store BBQ place, you could rent paddle boats...all sites have full hookups. We were in the older part of the campground which was nicely shaded and nearest to the lakes in site #9 - got lucky as it is what they consider a "long term" site, but it wasn't taken the weekend were there so they gave it to us! :-) The fire pit shown here was a community pit, but everyone else had their own...so we got it all to ourselves. I loved this site...just steps to the shore for fishing! and a beautiful view from the window too. Re: ~Post your campsite photos here~Our 1st "test" trip in our RV....Silver Strand State Beach. We were water front, literally as you can see by the pictures. Site #52. Cost was $30 for water front, it's $25 for non water front, and you are still literally steps from the beach. Off season it costs $5 less. There were no hookups, so it was a great trial run for us (we use WAY too much water- lol). They allow dogs (no charge) but we chose to leave them at home for this trip since they were not allowed on the beach and our golden just loves the water - it would have driven him nuts to be that close and not be able to go in :) You do have to have a fully contained vehicle to stay here and no tents. We loved it though!! Great bike path that lead into Coronado, going to sleep and waking up to the sound of the waves, a school of dolphins was even out while my daughter was splashing in the waves :D. Camp hosts were nice, they do overhead at 8pm to shut the generators off, although we really didn't use ours except to experiment with the TV. We literally opened our door and we stepped onto the beach. Campground was packed the day we got there, but it cleared out on Memorial Day (photo below)- even when full there was plenty of room between us and the neighbors...not like mountain camping, but we loved it and would definetly recommend it! This was the view out of our side windows - LOVED IT!
