He has a whole Youtube channel http://www.youtube.com/user/BugOutVehicles/videos with over 13,000 followers. I just found the video and thought some (who wanted lower RV expenses) on this forum might be interested in what he was saying. Why buy a new $125,000 motorhome?Watch this video...some great advice... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SUvN3u41H94 Why buy a new RV costing six figures and having a monthly payment of like almost $1,000 spread over 15 years not including insurance, gas, maintainence, etc? You won't be able to enjoy it really at all because you'll be working all the time just to pay it off. Why not just buy a way cheaper motorhome 10, 20 years old that is in good condition. At least that way you'll have the time to enjoy it!Re: Best RVing spots of North America? He has been all over with that van! I think that you can find something between $5K and $10K that will be decent, though it may have high miles. Still, if you take care of it, that should not be a problem. You can find out how to fix anything on the internet! I have a 2006 and have had to fix stuff, too. RVs always need some kind of work, it seems. It will be wise to keep aside an emergency fund in case you have a large repair - but that should be the case for any RVer. Chris has spent months living in his van and even had his girlfriend traveling with him - and they got on quite well. Good luck! yeah Chris has alot of cool videos - http://www.youtube.com/user/tylerdurdeno9/videosRe: Class B RV Suggestions goreds2 wrote: jameshet wrote: A RV Van like this would be perfect for me... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=czqytqBcxZM I have a 1990 Dodge Xplorer also. I love it and paid a lot less than $5000 for mine. I was lucky on the price as I got it via an Estate. Keep looking and you will find one in your price range.
