All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: Narrowed down to 3 and the research beginsOur 2017 Jayco Jay Flight has been at the dealer for almost three months now and is still not fixed. There is an issue with one of the slide outs, it leans downward and Jayco initially placed the blame on Lippert who made the slide and after a ton of photos were sent it was determined that the issue is the construction of the unit. This is very concerning and Jayco is dragging their feet and making one excuse after the other. We are not happy with Jayco at all.Re: Outdoors RV vs Jayco - Owners, Please Share Your ThoughtsWe have a 2017 Jayco Jay Flight 34RSBS and we love it! We traded a 2004 Jayco Eagle which was also a quality built trailer.Re: Jayco and travel trailer qualityWe purchased our new Jayco in April and we did find a few issues however this is our fifth travel trailer purchase and three of them were new. We had quality issues with our new Coachmen, Keystone and Jayco. Our Jayco dealer has been great to work with and is taking care of everything and is even sending a service tech on site at no charge to us. In my opinion it is all about the service from the dealership after the sale.Slide out questionWe have owned our new Jayco for about a month now and love it. We have noticed that the slide on the door side seems to slope downward when looking at it on the inside but looks fine from the outside. I called the dealer and he says that slide is a wing? And that is normal? The other two slides look fine. We have never owned a camper with three slides and are not familiar with a wing slide. Does anyone else have a slide that slopes like this? One more week to goAfter over six months of waiting for our new camper we have a offline date of April 18th. One more week to go! Since we have waited so long our dealer has offered to pick it up at Jayco. Being here near where most of the major RV manufactures are I'm hearing that the lead times for new units are getting longer. We initially looked at this model in May of last year and took too long before we decided to purchase it and it sold. If there is a RV that you really like at a dealer and you are seriously in the market I would advise putting a deposit down. I would be surprised if new orders for some models ship before the camping season is over this year as the back logs continue to grow.Re: LivinLite - Grand DesignMy job requires that I inspect our products in the units while on the production lines and I have been in the Livin Lite plant and can tell you that from what I have seen they are built well. I would purchase a Livin Lite unit myself if I were in the market for that type of floor plan. I have not been in the GD plant.Re: Deciding On our First Travel TrailerJayco is a good choice. I hope the model you choose is currently in stock at the dealer. Ours has been on order for six months now.Re: Jayco Fiberglass or AluminumThanks everyone for the input. I think we are going to go with the fiberglass.Jayco Fiberglass or AluminumOur new Jayco Jay Flight is on order and we have a limited time to decide if we want fiberglass or aluminum. We have done some online research and it looks like the fiberglass is easier to maintain and I think it looks better however we are trying to determine if we should spend the additional $1,700.00 for fiberglass. Are there any other benefits in going with fiberglass over aluminum?Re: Keystone vs Jayco vs Forest River vs Grand DesignWe currently own a Jayco Eagle and are in the process of purchasing a new Jayco Jay Flight. The new camper has been on order for a few months with no ship date in the near future so I emailed Jayco customer service inquiring as to when this model would be scheduled. I received a reply from the regional sales manager who thanked us for purchasing a Jayco, apologized for the delay and provided a production date along with his contact information should we have further questions. I'm very impressed with Jayco we have owned a Keystone Springdale, Forest River Shasta, Coachmen Catalina and choose Jayco because we feel as if their quality and service is better.
