The water heater is gas only, no electric option. It's pretty on the surface, but they seemed to have skimped on the mechanical features. Way overpriced. This is basically a Vista with some flair added to it.Re: Anyone Know About the Winnebago 25B?ol'yeller, good to here. Funny thing is, we are looking at an 05 Cambria 26A! Seller is asking too much for us though.Re: Anyone Know About the Winnebago 25B?ol'yeller, this is not your typical Winnebago. When they first started producing these they were cheap. They had either a TPO or EDPM roof before they switched to fiberglass. The drawer slides were cheap (I think they fixed those), and the overall build quality was subpar. They improved slightly, but there are still some issues. Just look at one to understand what I mean. Cosmetically, they are "pretty", but they skimped on the behind the scenes type things. There is only a LP water heater (no option for electric), the tanks are not enclosed, there is no fiberglass front shell. Great floor plan though. We want this model, but they need to offer these items for us to consider it.Re: Minnie Winnie 25B Sale PriceWe really want to get the Minnie Winnie 25B, but hopefully they will correct some issues on next years model or at least offer as an option. The floor plan on the 25B is great, but some things we would like are: electric water heater in addition to the LP, enclosed tanks, and fiberglass front shell.Re: This is ALOT of REDWe looked at one today in the red. It looks like an emergency vehicle. Winnebago is going downhill in quality though. Poor fit and finish in the interior of this coach. We also looked at the Minnie Winnie 25B which did not have electric water heater, only gas, no enclosed tanks, no fiberglass front shell. Great floor plan though. We also looked at the new Brave. It's pretty. Lots of bells and whistles on the surface. But it is a class A without enclosed tanks and it also only has a gas water heater. Do the people that design these things go RVing? Or do the people who review the plans go RVing?Re: 2014 Winnebago Minnie Winnie 25B gerrym51 wrote: Forest river sunseeker/forester 2300/2301 chevy 4500 Thanks for the input. We started looking at these RVs and are very impressed with the quality. These offer a lot more than the Minnie Winnies. The FR has enclosed tanks which is a big plus. The full fiberglass front cap is also nice. We also met a factory rep and he answered a lot of questions in person as well as email. The nicest thing the Minnie Winnes have is the floor plan, other than that, Winnebago really cheaped out on this motorhome. I think they are going to have a lot of warranty issues with these based on the fit and finish I saw on the few I looked at. Winnebago definitely sacrificed quality here. Cheaper, thinner wood, cheap door slides, cheap fixtures. Maybe if they improve these things we will look at again. Buyer beware, this is not typical Winnebago quality.Re: New trailer purchase, Jayco Jay Flight 198RD AirForceAngler wrote: Leave the water out until you get where you're going, unless you plan on boondocking. That'll save you some weight. We do boondock a lot, so having water is a must. Also, it is nice to have "just in case".Re: New trailer purchase, Jayco Jay Flight 198RDThanks Mike Up. Also, the payload rating on the vehicle states it is 5500#. Based on the math, we may have to hold off or find something lighter. Thank you all.Re: Emergency Candle for camping (and for Bob) CavemanCharlie wrote: randrx2 wrote: Don't waste your valuable resource (butter) for a candle! I should have just skipped it. Maybe it should have been in the "General Rving" section. But, mostly I should have just not posted it at all. Forgive me, it's been sooooo long since I've been able to get out camping. (Or, even leave the house.) I'm getting kinda punchy. No problem. But I see BOB and emergency and think Bug Out Bag! Cheers!Re: Emergency Candle for camping (and for Bob)Don't waste your valuable resource (butter) for a candle! Use this instead for $1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Uw19ak42vY P.S.
