I did have to replace my coax from the roof though, they really take a beating up thereRe: Best way to sell a Class AI use Craigslist for everything used and it works. Semi-local and cash deal only of course but I buy and sell relatively low end toys. Boats, RV, musical items, etc... Just put in the ad "no phone number, no reply" and you will weed out the tire kickers. If the rig is in the $25K+ range I would use RVtrader since it targets a higher end customer. Just my $.02Re: Ready 4 full timing, but theft has me worried the most! gbopp wrote: We're all a little concerned about things being stolen, that's normal. Your concern seems to be controlling your life. This is not meant as an insult but, have you considered counseling? It may help.. This is a great post...get insurance and relax. Enjoy life and stop stressing over your stuff, we will all end up with nothing when they put us in the ground anyway. Heck, I forget to lock the door half of the time so I am on the other end of the spectrum.Re: Making the jump from tent camping to RVingI jumped right into a class A on a recommendation from a friend and have no regrets. If you buy a low mile well maintained unit for short money you can always flip it if you don't like it. The bottom line is if you are used to tent camping any size will offer more comfort than you are used to and you can always throw a folding canopy/screen room in the trailer to spread out outdoors so being cramped is just a foul weather issue. Just my $.02Re: Convert to tankless? nosebreaker wrote: I appreciate everyone telling me that basically my wife needs to "tough it out" and deal with navy showers, but I'm saying that if that's the case we are not going on any trips and we are selling the RV. My wife isn't the "roughing it" kind of woman, she has long hair and takes time with her appearance. One of the reasons we got a motor home instead of a trailer is that it makes the trip easier. I don't view installing a tankless system as being a big problem, if it makes her ok with the RV then it is well worth it. That being said, I will investigate that the system is working properly before switching over. I shower just fine without shutting hot water off at all! Happy wife = Happy life In all honesty though it is really not "toughing it out" to shower like that on trips. It is just a matter of changing a habit during a shower, it won't change how clean you get. I would give it a try before you think about changing things out or worse, just throwing in the towel. In the end it is your rig and your $$$ so whatever you decide is the correct choiceRe: Convert to tankless? garyhaupt wrote: There is only one way to maintain a steady supply of hot water...water on to wet then off..soap up...water back on to rinse. That is what is called a Navy shower. If she has long hair? That's a whole 'nother joy, right there. You don't have to actually turn water right off at the head...just turn it down to dribble. The pump noise will drive you nuts tho. I was with SF for 24 years with perhaps 2 minor claims and when I had a comp claim they didn't hesitate to apply my $500 deductible. After that I decided to shop and found they were over-charging my by a solid 25% for years. The "shop around every 3 years" is good advice for all insuranceRe: I80 instead of 78 into PA from 287 fulltimin wrote: Using Warwick Ri - to just south of Harrisburg Pa, Google shows 95 - 78 = 368 miles = 5 hr 55 min 95 - 276 (Pa Turnpike) = 374 miles = 6 hr 6 min 95 - 80 - 81 = 397 miles 6 hr 22 min 95 - 9 - 91 - 84 - 81 = 413 miles = 6 hr 35 min (6 hr 15 min no traffic) The one thing you will find on 84 to 81 is far less traffic and little to no tolls. Thanks for the legwork... As was posted 84 in waterbury is a nightmare but the ride is so much more scenic I think that I will take that route in April and see if I keep my fillings inRe: What tablet to by?I am not an apple fan but for tablets you really can't beat them, they are the original. Ipad air 2 is what I use and travel with. I stream XM radio and use the google gps because it runs through my stereo to be sure I don't miss an exitRe: How to make long driving more comfortable ?I have lower back issues and this cushion has allowed me to do 400 mile days with no discomfort. I do travel at a relaxed pace and stop whenever I feel like it (or the dog needs to go potty) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FR9R0RA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
